Thanks for the kind words guys... Really glad people are liking them!

I know there are a hundred machines before you even would consider, but if you ever made Judge Dredd cards, I would be a buyer! I already got my Rick and Morty (Blood Sucker Edition) cards from you and am contemplating the Scared Stiff cards, but like the custom cards I currently have on that one. I would be interested to see what you would do with Alice Cooper's Nightmare Castle too, but with only 500 machines built, I doubt the demand is there for you to put in the effort.

For a lot of these, the source artwork is the challenge. I try to find artwork I can work with that fits/matches the theme of the machine, without pulling any artwork from the machine itself. It also needs to lend itself to decent 3D layering as well.

I will add Judge Dredd to the list.... that one I can actually do, because there are Comics out there I can work from.

#109 3 years ago

I think there was an Alice Cooper comic book out there too, I believe from the 1970s.

Thanks Eric, I will check it out.... I have actually had a few requests for Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie. Rock Band cards are tricky to do, as there isn't a lot of good artwork out there for them. Most of it is a t-shirt design or pictures of the band, or album covers.

#111 3 years ago

ACNC is more a monster game than rock game though. While Alice should be there, you can also use vampires, werewolves, Igor, Frankenstein monster, etc... Lots to play with.

But seriously excited about Judge Dredd!! Looking forward to seeing your magic.

Any more examples of ones where a clear background was done and backlit?

I am waiting on some pics of Stranger Things and Elvira House of Horrors from a few people. Here is a fish tank shot to give a reference of transparency.

Is there a particular set you want to see backlit?

nice! Yeah -- I need a TWD set, just can't decide on which They'd be lit thru a red translucent apron... just not sure if they will be super bright/distracting and I should go with the non-backlit ones or not

I’m in on both of these. How long till they’re available?

#120 3 years ago

Are any discounts offered for multiple sets (3 or 4) ordered? Fantastic work BTW

They are available now in my pinside store. I make everything on demand. If you want them in translucent, just note that in your order. Thanks!

Wow. These are awesome. As I look through this thread I couldn’t decide which I liked the most. Definitely buying some for AIQ. I hope you make some for POTC. I really liked the choices made on LOTR that one is stunning. It gives me another reason to wish I had that machine.

By reading this thread it is apparent you enjoy making and designing these. The zen of making is a powerful thing. Congratulations on finding such a cool art to create.

I appreciate the comments and the order! Pirates is on the list to be made at some point.

These cards are a double edged sword for me. I really do enjoy the creation project, seeing the 3d come to life the first time after assembly is always cool.

That being said, I waaaaaayy underestimated the response on them, and it has taken on a life at night as a full-on part time job. The assembly process is a fragile one, and after a few hours of assembly at night, I often have to stop so I am not burning through too many materials (the materials arent cheap). There is nothing more frustrating then having to trash an expensive lense.

I am appreciative of all the comments and orders, it is always cool to see something you put time into enjoyed by others.

#125 3 years ago

That is a double edged sword for sure. Too much success and all the sudden it is a trudge vs fun. There is always a balance when you monetize something you create. Only you can set a timeframe that works with the enjoyment of creating and the push to fill orders. Good luck and take your time, good craftsmanship is always worth the wait.

IRON MAN, Thanks! I was pleasantly surprised by the great quality and substantial thickness of the cards.

Those look great, thanks for the pictures! The lenticular material is really thick, and is super fun to cut cleanly too, LOL..... I go through one blade every 5 sets of cards. Each blade is $8.... It adds up quickly.

#131 3 years ago

Bought set for my Stranger Things and love them! Wife and kids do also. Thank you so much! Once EHOH arrives from Stern hopefully, will order that set also. They do look better in person. Sorry pictures are not the best. Didn’t feel like taking the glass off.

Most likely demolition man.

I lied... Aerosmith is done. This one is similar to Scared Stiff... a lot more movement and fewer 3D layers. The video will show the large amount of movement of Jacky's head.

It wont have any Williams assets, but here is the 3D card, in progress, before I start working on all of the 3D effects....

This one will be one of the more simple designs I do, but the gameplan is to make the heads have a lot of side to side movement.

OMG...why did I have to find this thread? My wallet! Gonna have to save up a bit so I can do all my machines with the ones you have at once, no way I could choose just one or two. They look awesome!

You are local.... You could just swing by and look at them rather than buying them- to save money.... Lol

I appreciate the kind words.

I ordered the LOTR lenticular apron cards and they are even nicer than advertised! Highly recommended.

Due to a shipping snafu by the postal service, I ended up with two sets. ralphwiggum was gracious enough to let me keep the extra set, so here I am with a free LOTR set for the first person to PM me. Just send me your address and I'll pay the shipping to get them to you (US only).

First come, first serve!
