I don't believe anybody has yet to undercut the price on a Stern pro, so doing it here would be a first.
A price of $6500 or so would really need to be a must for any of these games to be considered a viable alternative to a Stern pro.

When you make a pinball machine decisions have to be made. Pretty much every part on a game can be $30 better but at some point you just gotta release it and try to make a profit. The smaller companies are no different than Stern in this regard. If someone wants a $50 Odin sculpt I’m sure somebody will step up to the plate for them.

You are overreacting to the overreaction.
Anybody who has sold a lot of pinball machines knows the cruel truth: Art matters when families are buying pinball machines. A bloody corpse on the side of the game - regardless of gender - is going to turn a lot of people off. If it were my company, and my $$$/livelyhood was on the line, I certainly would have omitted that particular image. Just doesn't make sense from a sales, marketing standpoint. We've already seen people posting that they have little kids and that cabinet is a no go in their game room.
So you are about to produce and market a pinball machine. As yourself,
1. Will a bloody corpse on the side of a pinball machine help you sell additional units?
2. Will it cost you sales?
Those are really the only relevant questions and I think we know the answers. THey are:
1. zero
2. Probably.

As the run of games is supposedly sold out, I'm sure they'll be more than happy to refund your spot if you are upset at the change to 500.
Played it a bit tonight. Really
Like the layout, it’s a fun game and easy to play.
Feels solid, doesn’t have that usual “built in the garage” boutique feel to it.
Center ramp is a problem. Those flippers really aren’t up to the task.
