Is the ship not releasing your ball or not staying in the ship? Might be the coil spring issue. Can you clarify what it's doing?
Have the same ship ball lock issue on the new code. Everything was fine until I installed the new code. Balls aren't being recognized
Please contact support for troubleshooting. There have been no issues with the new code and ball locking. Most likely this is one of the ship switches, the post binding or the post release setting is too short in service menu.

We have a Valhalla at a show; I’ve updated it to the newest code. Seems like randomly when you lock ball 1 or ball 2 in the ship, it gives our two balls. Is this normal? Is good of Thunder 2 ball multiball?
Not normal. Lock a ball in the ship, and the game gives you a ball to the shooter lane. Lock 3 balls in the ship and go into a sea multi ball. If you can’t troubleshoot at the show, simply turn off physical locks in service menu and the ship will use virtual locks.

In battles, when you have both Valkyrie and Thors hammer ready, the action button fires Thors hammer first. This makes sense for all battles except in the case of when you are playing Dearg Due (Valkyrie defeats Dearg Due). I think in the case where you are playing Dearg Due and you have both ready, Valkyrie should fire first.
No, that would take out the strategy for using a Valkyrie vs Thors Hammer. When you have a Valkyrie, you know that it can:
1) Defeat DeargDue
or 2) complete the next shot in a legend battle
So when you get a Valkyrie the player should think how can I use this most effectively? If Dearg Due is not a legend I battled yet, the player should battle Dearg Due. If Dearg Due was already battled I should think of what battle I have the hardest time with a particular shot and go for that battle. Since you get a Valkyrie after every 5 combos and you can't have more than 1 you need to use it as soon as possible.
Ah, but in your example you had Thors Hammer and a Valkyrie. So the strategy would be to NOT play Dearg due or you'd be wasting Thors hammer since the Valkyrie would have defeated Dearg Due. Plus you might want to use Thors hammer in one of the 5 multiball legend battles to complete the legend, get the 5 million bonus, a bonus battle AND victory laps.

I considered it but it would make the game too easy to get to ragnarok, so no team play for lov. Right now the game is approachable for all with an easy wizard mode (Valhalla) and a challenging wizard mode (ragnarok). Perhaps our next game!

I have well over 1,000 games of LOV and have only made it to Valhalla 3 times (never to ragnarok), and I generally use 5 balls rather than 3 to start. For someone at my skill level getting to Ragnarok is just about impossible without something like team play. It all depends on your target audience I guess, but for someone new-ish to pinball like me I would certainly love to have team play.

Owning a tna and p3, plus having played the sterns with team play, it is a super fun feature. I still can’t get over 5 reactors with team play.
Having played Valhalla for 2.5 days ar a convention and not getting anywhere super deep, it would be bad ass having team play

I just got a valhalla and was doing great I just needed 2 more modes to get Valhalla wizard mode, and all of sudden the game reset it self? It was random. I’m not even sure what happened or what I did, I was in a multi-ball but wasn’t sure which one. I’m running the newest update from 7-22 I believe, Any ideas?
If you are not seeing Valhalla every 25 or even 50 games played, consider changing your strategy.
A few general hints:
If you collect a weapon, you add to your tally for the weapons insert AND you potentially open up more battles. Also, as you play consider shots that have multiple awards.
If you perform 5 combos, you added 5 combos to your combo tally AND award a Valkyrie, which you can use to defeat Dearg Due (among other uses), which adds to your qualifier for Destroyer of legends (4 battles played).
The mystery awards can be very lucrative. Get them. Simply hit the berzerker drop target several times and light mystery at the scoop.
Get your weapons. you need at least 1 more so get it quick. Then you are set for a couple of big scoring battles and an easy battle.
Here are some hints on your way to Valhalla for each task:
1. Weapons - (10 weapons) consider going for weapons during battles instead of going for the battle shots, you might get both.
2. Army - (10 raiders) r-a-i-d adds 1 raider. Consider comboing center ramp/left ramp/repeat, which adds combos, gets a valkyrie with 5 combos and awards raid letters to award raiders. a number of switch hits also awards a raider, so the spinner is your friend! The spinner charges thors hammer, which will complete your legend battle and give you another one to play.
3. combos - (9 combos). go for the ramp combos, which also award the valkyrie.... There are 19 different combos so perhaps there are some you find easier.
4. war on land - (3 standups). only during regular gameplay, but easy enough to hit (might want to shoot the center ramp target during ballsave).
5. conquest - (8 sequences of shots). Multiball is your friend here. Get your right ramp shot, berzerker shots, under ship target shots and then during multiball go for the rest (left ramps, center ramps, loops, blood/rage targets). This usually self completes with enough battles played so there's that too. Instant info keeps track and shots carry over.
6. destroyer of legends - (4 battles played) try a specific order to play the battles that you find easiest.
Here is one way: play banshee first and ignore the shots, instead go for at least 1 weapon, get 5 ramp combos and light your ship locks.
This will set you up to play 8 battles, have Dearg due ready for a kill and the ship ready to lock balls.
Next battle play dearg due, kill her with the valkyrie, then you get a bonus battle, 5 million and drauger starts as your bonus battle.
This will be 3 battles under your belt with just one more to get to light the extra ball and award the destroyer of legends insert. You also have 8 battles ready so go right to Leanan Sidhe as your 4th battle as this 4 shot battle is easy. collect your extra ball at the scoop when you're done, whether you defeat Leanan Sidhe or not.
7. god of thunder (3x bonus - 2 sets of top rollovers) plunge at start of ball to the right ramp and light god of thunder with this super skill shot
8. war at sea - (it helps to hold the left flipper up when shooting a right orbit and you'll usually hit the ship locks. At least for the 1st sea multiball!
when the ship turns purple (locks lit), shoot the ship. 3 balls locked starts war at sea and lights the insert.
multiball legends are a good opportunity to lock balls (draugar, for example).

I’ve had the game for almost a month in home, testing and prepping. Other than the side rails being WAY too far away from the edge of the playfield, it has been great.
I moved the game to the bar where I operate on Sunday. I played a tournament with it on Monday night (40 games or so) with no issues other than one person saying it auto launched a ball (could be a switch gap issue). I didn’t think much and figured I would test it after, but it seemed good.
Today I get a call that the game starts and doesn’t eject a ball. I drive over to the bar to find out that all of the coils won’t fire. After some reboot and testing it comes back up and is fine. Reboot again, fails again. Reboot another time, it works, reboot two more times, fails both.
Coil tests fail while it is failing as well. Shaker works but all of the coils are failing to fire. Has anyone seen anything like this?
Ok, now it is just ejecting balls nonstop. Looks like the full opto board for the trough is failing. Zero recognition from any of these. Maybe it was failing all along and it just bit it. Will have to call tomorrow .

Update, I talked to AP (helpful as always) and they gave me some good ideas. I narrowed this down to what I think was a faulty crimp connection on the 48v PSU. I’m hopefully back in action.

Is there an adjustment for right ramp? Ramp, flipper, angle of pinball machine
Just not able to consistently hit that shot
Issue with ball lock, it was working fine the stop locking the ball. Thoughts?
What is the best setting for flipper strength?
I'm in the club, just waiting to get the call from my distro thats its being built. Just found this thread. Lots of good info here
Practice will get you up the right ramp easily when you determine the timing to flip as the ball rolls down the left loop. No adjustment needed.
Flipper strength is set a bit conservative. Try increasing it a few units maybe 30 for the mains and 26 for the mid flipper.
Locking balls. Check your ship post to see if the spring has worked its way over the E clip. See if the post is binding anywhere. Whats happening? Is it not releasing balls, or not locking balls?

Almost 11 months after deposit my LoV finally came in! Trucking along setting it up, everything going smoothly, time to plug it in and, oops...
I put a beret and baguette on top of my power box but it still wouldn't plug in, but thankfully I had some extra cords around. So now the AP crew is at full strength!
Busy weekend so I haven't had much time to play, but I really like what I've seen so far! Some random thoughts:
- *Really* powerful flippers. Wow. Stronger than the previous three games, or maybe feel about the same as Hot Wheels. Seems like there was a bit of fade after three games in a row, but not sure on that yet.
- The ability to turn up the apron lights and spotlights is excellent.
- AP's packing is superior to everyone else's. A little extra care and forethought in every area.
- The 'ol hold left flipper+start to end a game actually rebooted the machine. Is that supposed to happen?
- That viking horn is the best. I wish there was a way to have it go off randomly in attract mode and scare everyone in the gameroom.
- Also love the simulated lightning strike at game over.
- Still early on learning the rules and shots, but it's a super fast (I have back legs at full height, front at lowest), combo-heavy game. Feels like you're in an intense battle. Really fits the theme and music.
Can't wait to find some time this week and dig in deeper. Love AP! Always quality stuff.

Holding the start button in for 4 seconds after ball 1 will end/restart the game. It was necessary to do a full restart with this particular game if you want to cancel a game in progress.

What is up with the God of Thunder task? I know I have completed the rollovers at the top more than two times on games and the task never completed for me. Is there something I'm missing here?
You have to complete the 3 rollovers twice in a ball in play no carryover. Each completion adds an X to your bonus so at 3x bonus you light the god of thunder. Or of course you can take the super skill shot at ball plunge to light the insert.

There are 3 possible ways to get an EXTRA BALL.
1) play 4 legend battles (default)
2) Start Escape the Kraken (default)
3) Set Replay Award = Extra Ball in service menu (adjust)
Note: all 3 of these obey the Maximum Extra Balls setting in service mode/(Standard Settings) too, so if you have it set to 1 extra ball maximum, that's all you'll get. If I recall default is Max Extra Balls = 1, though maybe its 2.
