Just a brilliantly bad hack!
Thanks for posting!
( Now tell Paul, he needs to fit his light up legs under that! )
The amount of effort needed to drill all those holes in the leg vs going to the hw store and buying two bolts..

I KNOW, RIGHT!?!? WTF!!!

Assuming the threaded plate was inside and not stripped. Too many people don't know where to get parts. Even bolts and washers inside would have been better.
LTG : )
Quoted from JoeJet:Actually...this mod would look cool on a Centaur.
Exactly what I was thinking!

The threads are stripped, however it was still way more work than just replacing the plate or simply adding some nuts to the mix.
It is still better than a stripped acorn bolt inside the cabinet and a person spinning the leg in circles to get it out and tearing up the cabinet at the same time.
I watched operators do that instead of unscrewing the plate and cutting the bolt with hacksaw while lifted on a dolley.
Quoted from dookski:Someone will soon be putting leds in those bolt holes. Maybe a light up clear plastic bolt.
Someone has already offered that as a mod here on PinSide.
I am completely truthful.
They used light boards behind the holes to "shine through" the bolts and around the legs.
At this point, there is mod for pretty much every part of a pinball machine.
Some nice panhead screws there, I'd have gone with some toggle-bolts and used some nuts as washers because drilling a bunch of holes in the leg seems kinda dumb.

I thought that was pretty standard, just to make it harder for someone to steal the machine?

I doubt genius drilled any holes--drove the screws home with a hammer...

One can always tap the threads too.
