So i bought 4 leg bolt brackets for my restored HS2 cabinet (which originally have the small leg bolt plates).

I found out that they don't fit well, too much space between bracket and corner joint. Besides that the outside plates aren't correctly curved.

What do you suggest?

Thanks for your reaction wayner. I didn't knew there are several types?
These one should fit from mid-80s to the present according to the suppliers website.

Legs should be 45 degrees but mine are 40 i think.

Found out that this type of bracket does fit on one of Christophers HEP Getaway cabinet. So it could be indeed that multiple sizes of gussets were used.

So i think two options:

a wood slice to fill up the space and use these 'new type' brackets;
buy improved version 'old style' brackets:
