What socket types are you using for your LEDs? I want to start putting LED's on my STTNG but I am not sure which type to buy (44/47 or 555s)

Cheers!

Quoted from cougtv:

I bought the cointaker kit and should have it in within the week and can post pictures once it is in. ???

Yes a few people here are recommending buying the kit... but what if I just want to change a few lights to start with. I really just want to play around with color to start with... Does the cointaker kit include different color types? Does anyone have a definitive list of all the bulb types that go into STTNG?

I am thinking something like a diagram of the playfield with each area circled / labled with bulb type required.. Am I asking for too much?

Quoted from Meph:

I started with my Borg ship and Backbox. I emailed Cointaker and they emailed me a list of their kits so I could see what was in them. For some reason though all the numbers don't seem to match up. The flashers for example. I already bought the backbox flashers and borg flashers but when I look at their kit they seem to have more flashers in their kit than the game actually has. I am planning tomorrow actually to just do a full count and figure out what I need.
Good luck. Its not hard, just time consuming.

OK my next question will prove how much of a noob at choosing LEDs and LED types. What exactly is a Flasher? As apposed to say a frosted colored bulb? When do you use a flasher? I have gathered that frosted bulbs are good for GI lighting e.g replacing exposed white bulbs under plastics on playfield
