Don't forget the 2-LED (dome style) from CT. They look like Retros but are cheaper and don't blow your eyesockets out if you look at them directly. I prefer these in most areas for GI. If I need brighter in areas where the light won't be seen directly by the eye (under plastics), Retros are good but it's also worth trying Pinball Life 4-LEDs. The spread is great and they don't "spot".

Quoted from Collin:

Whoa, good call on that! I'd totally overlooked those, and am kicking myself for that now. It looks like those are only available under the GI section (which I'd passed up while looking at the other type-specific sections.) Next time I order from Cointaker, I'll snag some of those.

Something else to consider - while a Retro might not hit your eye from the players perspective (under slings, for example) - if you have a bunch of games in a row, they might hit your eye while playing another game. Another reason I like the 2-LED ones. They offer the same "feel" and spread of a Retro due to the old-school bulb dome...but are just less harsh on the eye. I tried retros at first and they did look great...but then I played a game next to that game and my eye was just drawn to the intensity of the game next to me, distracting me from the one I was playing.
