I installed 10 LEDs in my Teacher's Pet playfield to see what they would look like. Warm white to replace 44/47 bulbs. THey seem fine, but two of them blew out after a few cycles of play. They turn on after a rollover switch is hit to turn two pops from 1 point to 10. Both LEDs died at the same time. I replaced with 47s and all's well. Did I just get cheapo LEDs, or does the snap of current to the pops tear up the LED?

LEDs prob didn’t like the voltage. Great game btw.

OK, but I've no reason to think the line voltage to those two lights varies from any other light on the PF. So, does the switching on relay create an inrush that fries the LEDs? Are there better and worse LEDs to use? Recommendations, anyone?
