Another problem I’m having (I’m gonna search the thread to see if it’s a known issue and someone has a fix, but figured I’ll post it anyway), on too many occasions now I’ll lock a ball in the EM spinner, the mech will go down into the play field and it won’t give another ball to plunge. It just goes into ball search mode. A few times now it will just keep doing that over and over.
Have had the game for two days now and it’s on 1.02 code. Early issues to sort out.
Same issue with my machine. I’ll see if the suggested lubricant fixes.

Please excuse my repeated borked attempts to hit the center shot when it counted. The pressure was killing me.
I temporarily got around it by nudging the machine front to back after the ball disappears below. Enough nudging seemed to make the ball register and would kick the 2nd ball into the lane.

I had this issue and contacted stern and got the following:
It looks like what is happening is that because the spinner is not sitting properly, when the ball goes into the mechanism, the ball cannot be seen by the optical switches because it is being held in place by the spinner.
What I would suggest for now is to adjust the spinner wire assembly which should help align the spinner properly again for the time being.
Quoted from JD4444:I noticed that when I took apart the top of the mechanism so I could see the spinner from above that when it was spinning one side of the spinner wire that went through the bracket hole was straight and the other side was bent. So I straightened the bent side as it was causing enough friction to make the spinner stop in a non vertical position. I added a dab of lube and now it works perfectly. As a side note I have the newer style bracket to hold the spinner.
Thanks! I plan to open it up this weekend and trying to make the adjustments. My machine is in early April build, so I think it's a newer style as well.

I finally got around to making the bends in the EM spinner, and so far, so good. The adjustment fixed the spinner not always being vertical and the issue of the ball not registering when the EM took the ball under the table.

Hits the bottom of the spinner and kind of jams it. You can hear it when it hits like that. I think I had 3 or 4 hits like that and it bent a little again. Not sure what can be done other than avoiding hitting it while spinning.
Unfortunately, you nailed it. I’m back to square one. Hopefully, stern gets us a fix soon.

I disabled my spinner for the time being until they send out a fix. Plays like a pro now since I cant hit that scoop ramp anyways.

I'm not a pro, and I might have overdone it or did it wrong, but I made the following changes under Featured adjustments to stop my EM spinner mode.
#42 Yes (motor disabled)
#45 Yes (e-magic diverted disabled)
#15 Extra Hard (don't need)
I ordered some clifft’s but nothing aside from that. I have the same issues you do with my my spinner on a April 2021 premium and have just disabled my spinner and been enjoying the fuck out of it. Stern will make the spinner right and it’s a fun game!

I just got my spinner fixed by my distributor, but I'm still having the same issues with the captured EM spinner ball needing the nudge to be recognized. I think we have a build date pretty close to each other.
