Quoted from Psw757:Well in that case it seems with reasonably good gameplay the two mini wizards are attainable so never say never on the final wizard mode being reached.
That’s something I truly like about Beatles, if you have a good game going you have a shot at getting one of the wizard modes.
Doesn’t happen too often for me but it is reachable.
Couldn’t agree more
Now I’m getting used to the rules, this game is perfect for me
I love chasing the lit shots to earn the gold record required to progress through the songs, on my long quest for “top of the charts” wizard mode
On top of that, the tours are awesome, 4 of those bad boys done and “world tour” wizard mode 2 beckons
Then of course the forever out of my reach “?” wizard mode 3
Top it off with the electric magic devise, zeppelin multiball, endless flow (thx Ritchie)
This is one awesome game and man those expression lights that groove in sync with the Zepp beat, unbelievable!
Only issue out of the box I’ve had is with the level of the EM device
I found that once raised, it wasn’t flush with the playfield (at least 2 to 3mm too high)
The rear of the device was so high that the ball would get caught up all the time
I’ve adjusted the height courtesy of a couple of zip ties (fitted on the devise rods from under the playfield) and level perfection has been achieved
Not sure if there is a more subtle way to adjust, but this method at least has corrected the level issue
Anyone have issues with the ball getting hung up on the rear edge of the black plastic when the EM is raised
Mine looks to sit a little too high above the playfield when the EM is raised, is there an adjustment that can be done?
I have to shake the machine vigorously to jar the ball loose from this position
Otherwise everything else is great
Anyone else have the expression lights freeze after turning machine on and just leaving it on attract mode?
Upon boot up, all is normal, then after 10 minutes or so they stop strobing
Again this is just in attract mode
Wonder if it’s a code thing
Seeing that the Rush pin will have around 17 songs, do you think we may see a code update for LZ, with an additional couple of tracks? Maybe tied into a mini wizard mode
10 tracks on LZ is nice, though the greatest band ever could be utilised a little more
Does it play the song, Celebration Day when you reach ? wizard mode
Or is the wizard mode just called Celebration Day?
Quoted from LOTR_breath:Nope, no extra song. Just a logo and some really cool animations. Then a lengthy run up of how many records you collected in every song which sets the base jackpot level in the first phase of the mode.
Okay, do you pick your song, or does it pick a song randomly for the wizard mode?
Spotlight motors are pretty loud, they move around consistently (even in attract mode)
You can go into the settings and adjust the frequency in which they move (or switch movement off altogether)
I personally thought the topper was cool, but I sold it as the offer I got was too good to refuse
Furthermore, I needed to go back and chase toppers for my other machines, as I need to have uniformity (OCD I know)
Just on the noise levels of the topper, it did bother me somewhat, as many times I like to turn my machines on (not too play, just enjoy looking at them) have a few drinks, listen to some tunes, and the noise from the topper just ruins the ambience
To that end, I’ve disposed of all of Sterns shitty noisy fans and replaced them pinmonks beauties
The near silence is golden, time to crack open a drink, put on some Kiss tunes and turn on, but not play my pinball machines, good times
Afterall, theme is all that matters, not gameplay jokes
Check underside of playfield to see if a wire has come off the coil stop
Happened on my Beatles pinball, I just slid the wire back onto the coil stop lug and pushed the small plastic tube back over the connection and she’s up and working again
I was surprised that it was not spot welding in place, it just uses the small plastic tube to keep the wire and lug in contact with each other
