Finishing my Marco order, going with yellow Super-Bands, and ordering some SilverJets. How many balls does the LE take?
Quoted from Diamond:This was a first. Doubt I’ll do this again. Went into ball search. Eventually electric magic lowered and balls came back into play.
Exactly as they said it would in the live stream, glad it’s working!
Fits nicely between AS and IM and 3 doors down from SR’s first effort. Played like a dream right out of the box. No spinner issues with mine and boy is that thing a blast to rip and ‘charge’.
Love the blue trim, but I thought the entire LE art package was spot on right from the start, huge Led Zep fan here.
The only issues I’ve had is it has taken a couple tries to boot, but that seemed to resolve itself. The Icarus jumper stuck in the up position and when I work it manually I notice a metal on metal bind. Sent Stern a message through the support webform on their site, hopefully they’ll respond soon. The Icarus target still works so it’s no biggie.
Added remote subwoofer using PINsub module and it sounds bad ass, especially the sound effects which coordinate well with the shaker. The light show is amazing in person, especially during Kashmir and The Song Remains the Same.
I’m extremely satisfied and am loving shooting this game, great SR speed and flow but not the drain monster AC/DC was. For those still waiting, hang in there a few more days it’s well worth the wait!
Quoted from Hayfarmer:4 1/2 hours each way today, but #494 is in the lineup!! About 20 games, no spinner issues,
Hayfarmer! Congrats! You started this thread, right?! ENJOY!
Has anyone else discovered the “Challenge” mode? Hold both flipper buttons in to activate. It’s a timed game with a (seemingly) endless multiball and new graphics with instructions on the LCD. FUN!
A small issue to report today, EM got stuck trying to raise causing a lip and air balls galore. Raised p/f, loosened EM mech brackets and shifted unit over a couple mm’s, problem solved.
Curious, those who are having to deal with FedEx and other shippers delays/headaches do your distributors not deliver? Too far from a distributor? My distro brought mine the minute it arrived at his warehouse.
Quoted from Motorcitypinball:Here are some of the notable accomplishments
1.5 Billion Score
Icarus 12.9 multiplier
20M song jackpots
Dude, you rock! I’ve never eclipsed 300M on any of my Sterns, but I still enjoy the hell out of them.
Quoted from rolandthoms:How are people fishing wire through to a sub? Drilling a hole ?
I removed the plastic topper plug and ran it out of the top of the head, plenty of cable to reach the sub underneath.
My EM mech keeps hanging up on the edge of the opening causing the plastic to raise about 1/16” followed by dangerous air balls rendering the game unplayable!
I loosened the bracket nuts once already and tried to shift the entire mech over a little bit, but the damn holes are not oblong therefore zero adjustment. Anyone else having this issue?

Update: I fixed this last night by removing the EM cover plastic and the metal assembly beneath it, rotating it 180 degrees and reinstalling. EM mech is now centered on the opening and goes up and down without issue. It does sit slightly low when in the down position though, has anyone fine tuned this?

every pass of ball search.
Nice adjustment, I find the ball gets stuck between two rubbers behind EM unit and the two prongs miss it. This should solve that.
Quoted from huo:Anyone having an issue with electric magic raising and lowering? Mine gets stuck periodically, maybe once a game. Wondering if a solution was found.
Mine was sticking and wouldn’t come up, the unit was off center on the opening. I removed the top and rotated it 180 degrees, problem solved!

Correction 1948 - 1980
Quoted from mzhulk:I found these 2 screws in the bottom of my cabinet LZ premium when I unboxed my game today. Does anybody know what they are for?
They look like coin mech thumb screws.
- Added additional entries to the SPOTLIGHT MOVEMENT IN ATTRACT adjustment.
- MINIMAL USE - Spotlights move infrequently during attract mode. Great
for home use.
- MODERATE USE - Default Adjustment
- MAXIMAL USE - Spotlights frequently move during attract mode. Great for
location use.
- NONE - Spotlights remain in a fixed position throughout attract mode.
I'm hoping the 'spotlight' is referring to the TOPPER!!
Quoted from Vitty:That damn Zeppelin was totally supposed to be a physical ball lock
Agree. I wonder if a mod can be made to make it so...
The topper is bad ass!
A few things: I routed the sub cable through the side of it then down through the hole with the other cables; I didn’t like the light leak under the plastic so I solved it with a thin piece of black weather stripping (photo); I like that the topper controls are in the feature menu so that I could turn off the spotlight servos during attract mode.
