Quoted from Hayfarmer:

I've launched a few off the top of the em while it was rising that have gone to the right, but not far enough to hit that area. I hope.

Thanks...didn't think of that. Well, I suppose if it happens I can pretend we're reenacting the Blitz.

I just ordered the double guitar / amp mod...and I'm not one to mod anything. The truth is this is probably my favorite pin so why not? I wasn't all that crazy about it at first but after a couple hundred plays you can see where it really shines. First thing, you have to crank up the volume - you can't really do that in an arcade environment. Then you have to learn what to shoot for and how really sweet the shots are. Adjust the right flipper so it makes the right ramp- mine was not set this way from factory and it's such a nice, satisfying shot. Anybody from the 1950-60's will love this machine.

Crank it with pinwoofer!!!!! You will not regret it, seriously, about 20 minutes to install. And it fits any spike 2!

Push and hold both flip buttons, then use flipper buttons to scroll thru until you see music

My side ramp has progressively getting harder to hit. I checked my audits to see how bad it is and was shocked to see i've only hit it 270 times in 600 games played. i'm thinking the ramp flap is too forward and because of this the ball is just hitting the ramp hard and rejecting. Anyone else having issues like this?

#2960 3 years ago

Here's my setup with mods installed. Please note hideous shooter.

The 3rd flipper ramp? If so, yeah that is about my percentage. It doesn’t hit smooth and hits upper cage and then drops. Maybe scoop is too steep? I think there were some posts about the screws. Maybe replace scoop with Mylar?

I just received my 'hideous' shooter in the mail today.. I can't wait to install my hideous shooter, everything about this game was hideous from the start, right? It's so hideous that I love it! and I want to make it more hideous.

Quoted from Ericpinballfan:

From your lips to God's (and Gary's) ears...

(And just above the ELO poster is Freddie Mercury and to the left of him is Bobby Plant...so if I could complete that trifecta, I'd be a happy camper indeed!)

Love the game, hate the shooter (but I’m not a mods guy anyway). Some of you guys will buy anything

For this game, yeah. I bailed on the overpriced JP topper with just flat plastic and lights for $600. But I had to go with the whole package for this game. Worst case scenario, I sell the fugly thing if someone comes out with a better aftermarket mod. Stern usually does great jobs with their shooters (JP and STh come to mind), but this one's a swing and a big miss.

Lots of cool mods for the empty corner in Led Zepellin-great job to all the modders, I love the creativity! [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Each to their own with their games of course but I just don't get the fascination with plastering the playfield with a bunch of 3d printed crap. Sound and speaker modifications and in some cases lighting modifications (eli kit for tron for eg) are worthwhile changes... all this added cluttering overpriced 3d printed garbage truly bores me these days and adds nothing to the game and in my books nothing to the resale price tag.
If you like it great, whatever does it for you and your game but my Le will stay stock and it will look all the better for it.

#2970 3 years ago

As you said, to each his own. I like to do a few mods to each game if I think its gonna be here a long time. Met some damn fine people along the way too.

Normally, I'd agree with you. But the right side of this game is so barren and boring, and I think people have really come up with some inventive stuff to balance out the composition (to use an artistic term) of the playfield.

I checked my audits. Side ramp 330 hits/472 games, or 69%. If you haven't done so, you need to wax it. Wax the guide leading into it, and the turn around guide. It's much easier to do if you remove the wireform(just one screw and one 9mm nut). And make sure to wax the playfield between the upper flipper and the side ramp entrance. Also, set upper flipper power to max(255). And finally you might want to modify your wireform like I did in post #2246.

Beautiful!! Years ago I had a 55 sedan delivery, set up like a gasser, straight axle, 427, cool car. Can't find any pics tho, still looking. Other was a sedan, with 350, much more Streetable.

I like the red washers behind the leg bolts, subtle, and the pin pimp cup holder. I bought those when they only had black colored ones. Now he has a Led insert that sits in the bottom that looks great too.

I am not crazy about shitload of MODs on playfield. Got the hermit and the guitar in back barren corner and that's it. As for my 61 vette, only MOD is the AM/FM radio with direct retrofit to dash and labeled CORVETTE. Just like LZ pin, I gotta have sounds

You prompted me to check out my audits.
I have not waxed or cleaned yet, or made any modifications.
Also, majority of plays on game is from me, not kids or visitors.

My side ramp is at 468 in 310 games which they say is 150%
The shot is very important to increase scoring.

im tempted to reposition my ramp flap. theres zero curve to it now and the ball just bricks on the ramp. im at 51% and its going down. im blaming the ramp for not making the billion club yet (my flailing style can't be the reason!)

my 1st meeting with a LED ZEP PRO...
must admit i was stunned in the good way, my first impressions were quite meh after seeing vids, but after playing it with a friends for more than 4 houres this afternoon, the truth is we had fun playing this pin... i mean really !

to be tested again of course, even more when code will be more advanced (0.95)

Anyone doing a custom powder coat job on on their premium?

Disappointed as I was at the reveal, I think the game actually looks really great and I like the simple style, it looks really good in my line up. The cab is mostly black and white with just the pop of orange in the "Led Zeppelin" letters, so I'm considering doing the trim in a similar shade of orange to tie it in. I think this could look really nice and give it just a little bit of flair it needs to take it to the next level. Thoughts?
