I wanted to build a small "test bench" for testing LEDs. Anyone have any ideas on what to use to supply power for the LEDs for 6.3VAC/DC and 13 VAC/DC. Would I need "button" to test flashers ?? I would like to build something that is simple, yet cost effective...

Here are some of the parts that come to mind that I would need:

    Alligator Test Clip Set

Miniature wedge Base 2-Lead Socket With Front Mounting Bracket

Bayonet Base 2-Lead Socket With Short Mounting Bracket For #89 Bulbs

    Stern Service Button

Other then a power supply and maybe some resistors, would anything else be needed ??

    Quoted from LTG:

    No 6.3 DC ?
I'd do a button for flashers.
    LTG : )

    Are there 4 types ??

    6.3VAC
    6.3VAC/DC
    13VAC
    13VAC/DC

    Or just three ??

Purpose is just to make sure the bulbs are working. I don't want to open up a machine each time I want to test LEDs/Bulbs...

    Quoted from KenH:

...or an old salvaged PC power supply...

I was thinking about that as well. I have a few of those laying around...
