I just installed an LED OCD in my Shadow.

When operating in normal LED OCD mode, the start button and buy-in button flicker badly and in sync. This happens with both LED bulbs and incandescent bulbs.

When in passthrough mode (or before the LED OCD module was installed), the start button blinks on and off, and the buy-in button remains dark.

I tried fiddling with the configuration settings in the LED OCD software, but didn't seem to get anywhere.

None of the lamps on the playfield are flickering like the cabinet buttons are.

If I go into lamp test and test the start or buy-in buttons lamps individually, they still flicker like mad.

Has anyone encountered this issue before?

The first few seconds are in normal LED OCD mode. The last few seconds are when passthrough mode is enabled.

It sounds like the cables for those lamps may still be connected to the driver board rather than being moved over to the LED OCD.

If you want to send a picture of the installation, I would be glad to look it over.

I sent this response by email, but since you posted here, I decided to post it here also.

Yep, that was it.

I missed j136--one of the small connectors. I blame it on the all-nighters I've been pulling lately prepping games for a show.

Once I moved that connector to the LED OCD board, the cabinet buttons started working as expected.

Thanks!

Great. I'm glad it was an easy fix.
