Quoted from ric9987:I got an early CT LED kit from my TSPP and have suffered the ghosting for so long - I almost forgot what it looked like when it wasnt ghosting/stobing.
It stopped me getting any more LEDs for anything - they hadn't invented the non-ghosting type LED's at the time.
I just bumped into the OCD a couple of weeks ago and ordered one.
I got my OCD through from Comet (I live in the UK) pretty quick - installed it in TSPP - and just Wow.
I agree with FreeBee - wish we could get these in Europe.
I want to do my LOTR, T2, TZ, TAFG - LOTR will just be another Stern OCD board, but I dont see the the Williams OCD and GI OCD for Williams on their site.
I do wonder if I will need a GI OCD on my T2 - I understand it sorts dimming out for GI - but I really have no idea if T2 uses Dimming for GI - Anyone ?
It is possible to get the B/W LED OCD in Europe, you just have to be inventive on the route they take. Try USA > UK forwarding address companies, or use the link for international customers on the Official B/W LED OCD page, at the bottom: "International customers can now purchase through Pinball Spare Parts Australia".

I use standard Comet LEDs with frosted domes:

I have 3 B/W and 2 Stern LED OCDs in use right now in the UK. Need to get my Roadshow a GI OCD for 50Hz next!
Does T2 utilise GI dimming at all? I don't know. Is there an option in the menu to disable it? If so, and you've got non-fancy LEDs in the GI, then you could make use of one. TZ and TAF use GI dimming to good effect, so they'd be great examples of GI OCD candidates. I used LED OCD in both before i sold them.
PS - there's a UK-based forum too Pinballinfo.com
