With all the black friday deal out there I'm thinking about getting an LED kit for my Funhouse.
So who has the best kit? Are they all the same? Why is one better than another?
I like to play with the lights low in the room so brighter is ok with me.

Thanks!

don't know about who has the best kit, but have you thought about when the Funhouse closes LED's won't dim like incandescent bulbs. LED's are either on or off?

We have a kit for that game and are doing 20% off on all kits.

Our kits aren't simple bulb replacements only. They come with plug n play LED strips and Spotlight kits so your playfield has nice even lighting and is well lit in all those dark areas!

You can buy a few samples and see what works. I think it's better to make your own custom choices instead of depending on a kit.

Don't do gi, as you will lose the flicker effect when the game goes to midnight

Thanks for all the suggestions so far guys. Keep them coming. I have to do some research on all the available LEDs. This would be my first LED conversion and I'm not too familiar with all the different styles.

I agree that you should buy a few and see what you like. For example, for my blue faded inserts I used blue leds. Generally I don't like anything other than white under the playfield since that is what the game/inserts are made for. But taking that approach allowed me to customize to taste.

Also, be prepared for lots of ghosting unless you get the non-ghosting leds.

I've installed cointaker LEDs. Rudy couldn't be happier!

I like the incandescent bulbs in Funhouse solely because they remind me more of carnival light bulbs. It loses that effect when they get yanked. Consider that. It is one of those unconscious things, but you'll know something is off.

Another Funhouse LED question - all of my backglasss have LED's - Comet bright white in FH. All of my machines are bright and enhanced by the LED look - except FH. what have you all used to brighten, enhance the look of the FH backglass? Mine looks dull and dark.

Thanks,

You can still use standard 5050 Frosted in your game, for the best average lighting that is in kits and standard for many years. Mixing a few frosted 2835 in, or more, will increase the brightness 20%, and if mixed with other bulbs of brightness, you create a bit of a 3D affect with depth of field lighting....Brighter on the objects you want in front.

Another favorite is flex heads, you can adjust these closer or further from artwork to get additional brightness. 2 Headed Flexes will arrive soon, and you can double your light.
Equally, you can add some of our 3 SMD and 7 SMD strips... They might need diffusion, but Wow! can a backbox be brightened.
