Because you did before and after pics and the CSI looks great.....I'll allow the advertisement. LOL
Some games need a little bit of Skittle coloring. NGG is boring in all yellow and orange.
And RFM could use a little blue and purple to offset all the red, green, and yellow.
LAH benefits from a purple LED strip on the wireform and a few UV bulbs to make the artwork glow. (It looks less purple and more UV glowy in person.)

Your ST looks great. Where did you get those custom instruction cards from as I'd like to get these same ones?

,,,,,,are you sure you are not a short brunette?
(Taste the rainbow...)
Nope, still tall and blonde. Thought about dying my hair red, but that would just screw up my whole identity. Husband says to go blue. Lol
Here's another use for a LED strip. What do you do when you've got a big dark spot on your Jurassic Park, a LED strip, and a big ptero in the way? Make a ptero spotlight!

The DM playfield looks great and I love the FT topper! Very nice!!!! Looks like JM has some LED's as well?

Looks like you have an LED out on you FT topper.

wow...good eyes, light 5 near the tail?
I used CT blue frosteds in the "water/blue" areas, green frosteds in the background, and warm white frosteds behind skin tones/whites/logos. I feel limiting the maximum amount of colors for general illumination avoids a skittle look, and mimic the colors in the pf in spot areas gives a uniform appearance. I've kept the inserts incandescent because I like the warmth and fade.

You should be able to find on Ebay....if not, shoot me a PM.

Thanks, Art
I was just curious because I had never seen that one before. I love the show but I'd need to buy the pin before getting the translight. lol
It's on my list though!

Where are those purples from? They don't look like the pinky purple ones I got from Art.
Hi Jeremy,
To get a purple color from an SMD, you need a frosted lens.....something to hold the color.
You had ordered clear, which cant produce the shade you want.....

Actually that isn't correct as I have ones from pinbulbs & pinball life that are a great purple (with NO frosted dome). The ones from Comet look pink.
Art,
The sentinels LED is from pinbulbs and the blackbird inlanes are Comet. Same type of LED bulb (5050 SMD). If you think I got a bad batch, I can believe that because these look pink to me.
Below playfield pic of pinbulbs purple. Clear cap on 5050 SMD.

Two purple bulbs (5050 SMD clear cap) from Comet. Very pink looking.

flexible purple LED from pinball life with clear flipper button.

Shot of both inserts. Not very obvious from the pic, but the Sentinel (pinbulbs) is much more purple than the inlanes (comet)

Close up of the Sentinel insert (pinbulbs). Again, not so obvious.

ToM is the CoinTaker kit with purple GI. JD is the pinballbulbs kit. I love how the purple LED's make the deadworld ring pop!
I REALLY like how pinballbulbs adds the LED strips at the top/bottom as well as the spotlights. Going to add a couple more spotlights to JD and a few to ToM. Have an ES at my brother's I'm also going to put some cool white LED strips on to brighten it up. Love being able to play in the dark!
Could have been the batch, Jeremy, I too have had Purples from everyone, and dont see pink...but then it could be my eyes......the elusive purple LED question strikes again!
My T2 and TZ. I have a XMLE Wolverine with all the Gio and Hemi mods as well, but no pics at this time.

Do the RIVER letters on the left look cyan or teal to people? They are supposed to be cyan. You can see the green lock targets and the blue from the targets to compare.

LOTR with LEDs from Comet (GI needs tuning as some are still incandescent and LEDs need to be dimmer). Also found that a warm white would be better for GI on this machine. This is before I tuned the inserts using LED-OCD. Will post a new pic soon.

Quoted from gweempose:Your Tommy looks great! Does that foam help with the VUK bounceouts?
Thanks Gweempose, it was your posts and pics that inspired me!!
Yeah the foam helps but bounceouts still happen too often as far as I'm concerned. I keep trying different foam trying to improve it. It does look a lot better without any foam in there as the light reflects nicely off the polished steel.
WOW, that Space Invaders is the largest improvement I have seen, using LEDs. Especially the additional color and detail in the backglass.
I have to tell you, I have mixed feeling about LEDs. I love them in my TZ backbox, but I tried some in a yellow insert.
I did a side-by-side comparison in the Spiral Award inserts, at the bottom of the playfield. One was an incandescent, one cool white frosted, one warm white frosted, and a frosted yellow. I didn't like the look of any of the LEDs, in the yellow inserts. I do really like the look of a red LED in the red insert, just not a fan of the way they change in attract mode.
What do you find that works best in the yellow inserts?
Quoted from TrainH2o:just not a fan of the way they change in attract mode.
If you mean the fade as they turn off and on - this keeps me from changing inserts in Bally Atlantis and Pinbot...at least, for now.

Warm white in yellow inserts.
I put a red LED in my Shoot Again and each outlane insert. In TZ one of the attract modes, the lights pan across the playfield, left to right, then back. The three red LEDs double-blink during this mode. For some reason, the Extra Ball insert in the Spiral Award series, doesn't do this.
It's not a huge thing I suppose, but they do act differently in some cases. The OCD add on board is supposed to solve this, but I'm not sure I want to spend the cash on one.

LED OCD FTW !!!
