Quoted from examiner:

Here's my Pinbot post mylar removal. I couldn't stand it either and I think it was well worth the risk. Once you take the mylar off and hold it up to a window and see how dirty and stained and brown it is - you'll know you did the right thing.

That Pinbot looks sweet!

Quoted from Blackbeard:

And if I do remove some decaling, I see they sell replacement decals that basically just stick down overtop of the old and apparently doesn't cause any ball jumping issues.
Anyone use these?

They look terrible and often don't line up, because the original art wasn't always dead centre to begin with. I tried some a few times on tables that hadn't had mylar from the factory.

I saw a video of using flour with the goo gone removing the the glue. I tried it on some decals I removed and it worked damn good. Mix the flour into the goo gone and just roll it around and it pulls up the glue after freeze spray of course.

I saw that video as well but think he used rubbing alcohol and flour if I remember right unless theres another video.
I havnt done full sheets yet but Ive removed the Mylar protectors with a clothes iron on low setting and a dull utility knife blade comes off pretty fast and automotive laquer thinner wipes the glue right off

HELP!! Peeled the mylar off of my Austin Powers field and got a bit of peel up, but worse is the glue. I tried the flour and rubbing alc (although it was 70%) mix last night with no results! I also tried goo-gone spray and yet the adhesive stays. Anyone tried this product? https://www.lowes.com/pd/Duck-5-45-oz-Adhesive-Remover/999912985
I did not see the orange 909 on the other site listed.

Compressed air, followed by alcohol worked amazing. Wish I would have got a before shot!
Thanks!

Modern games work best with duster. 70-80’s heat works better. Just my limited exp.

So the can air brought up the Mylar easily. The 91% alcohol and flour worked well on the Playfeild but is extremely stubborn on the inserts..Whirlwind
