    Quoted from WaddleJrJr:

How did you wire up the power? I'm interested in the Cobrapin board and I'm wondering how you wire up your displays and speakers to power while keeping a common ground, since the power filtering happens on the Cobrapin itself instead of a seperate power filter board.
Thanks, and game's looking great by the way, congrats on the nomination!

I run a jumper from 110 ground to grounds for the 48,12,5. The only ones that are super sensitive to which grounds are the optos

Got a resin printer this week and started doing toys for the build! This resin printing is so much better for the figures.

Video of some of the toys/sculpts i've added so far. Left pop bumper will have a little more on it. There will also be something behind jinx on the right side near ramp, and also another figure will be added near left orbit.

Also, side lighting is only temp up. I am going to use different channels to mount that cover the entire side I think. Still working on that.

    Did you model the figures?

No these were ones that were already on thingiverse or cults3d. I modified one slightly but luckily there are tons for me to pull from.

    Nice. They look awesome.

Been working on modes and getting ready for TPF. I was thinking about doing a new video on the stuff I've been working on, but I may wait to TPF for everyone to play the changes!

Brought league to TPF and had great feedback from everyone played it. Most said it was hard but in a good way.

Here is a video of Todd Tuckey checking it out:

Here is a walk through from empire pinball

Jack Danger, Ryan McQuaid all played it and had great feedback. Looking forward to getting my real play field in and making a few tweaks.

Ordering some custom wireforms for League. One feedback I received was that the wireforms and runs were distracting from playfield. I had used ones that were from existing games and I agree it blocked some of the views.

So going to have some custom ones made!

League is completely torn apart right now. Waiting on custom wireforms and led boards. I decided to go ahead and swap to the direct to wood playfield from Fantastic Pinball! I wasn't as happy with the leds on first version so made my own boards and using SK2812 RGBW leds so I can get a true cool white. Also will have leds behind the stand up targets similar to Pinball Brothers on Queen and Alien.

I am completely redoing the wiring as well. Will get new pictures up once I am far enough along. Next show will be Southern Fried Gaming Expo in Atlanta at the end of July.

Got some of the new led boards for arrows, targets, and inserts. I’ll upload a video of them in action once I get them all hooked up but loving them so far!

Thanks, credit for idea goes to @zacj and pinball brothers. Zac originally shared his design with me and I ordered some of them. After seeing queen and their targets, I decided to make my own design with a switch right on the PCB like PB

Looks cool! I used the FAST inserts, and grabbed a string of the RGB Christmas lights while I figure out how to work the GI.

I originally used the christmas lights for the GI. I am not 100% sure how I am going to do my GI yet. I may stick with the christmas lights as they're prewired and go right in the holes.

Tim from Cobra said he’s close to adding pop bumper LEDs, GI, posts and targets to his shop.

How goes the swap over? Everything coming along alright?

    #181 11 months ago
    Quoted from MrBigg:

How goes the swap over? Everything coming along alright?

Between work, family, wifes car crapping the bed, house items, and 5000 things that happen all at once; I have not had a ton of time for it. I've done a few leds here and there but still sitting unwired. Once I get my homebrew kits and couple other orders out this week, I may focus a little time on it.

    #182 11 months ago

I totally get how life can put these on a back burner.

Pop bumper/dome light, star post, and GI--yes. I don't have any target LEDs coming to the shop yet.

The GI LEDs will likely be in kit form so you will have to solder the 4-lead LED to the board. This way you can solder it to whatever length or direction you want.

I am getting GI boards next week. I will bring all the options to GSPF next week and they will be available a week or two after that online.

Awesome, thanks. I’ll likely pick up some GI stuff and pop bumpers.

And for the record, it’s Thomas. My mistake!

League will be at Southern fried gaming expo in Atlanta weekend of July 28th. It’s got a brand new real Playfield, improved layout, and more art/lights!

If you get a chance to play it, please let me know what you think!

I am so looking forward to it. I have waited a year to finally see it in its glory. Barring a famine, the creek rising, or an apocalypse, we'll be there.

    Discovering the last gameplay video.
Super nice pinball machine, so shiny, everything looks well integrated.

I don't understand, it looks like you put the glass under the apron ?

That's the correct method of clear coat is why. It was done professionally, and cured correctly before being populated. If you yake the time, do the right procedure, then buff it out, it will look like glass on top of the art.

Yeah, this was a professionally direct to wood printed and clearcoated. They did 3 coats of clear and then a ceramic coating.

Super, super shiny! FantasticPinball did the playfield for me

    Quoted from Octomodz:

My bad, at the end of the video, it looks like the apron is above the glass, but it's just a visual effect.
I've looked again at the video and it appears to be "normal".

Very nice result on the playfield !

I'll try to approach this result "by hand".. And I won't put a glass without reflection so it will "erase" some of the mistakes !
