So, I just installed my Sterm topper on Stranger Things but the LCD display is not coming on? I disconnected the topper and the LCD display is still not working? Not sure what could have happened? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Quoted from northerndude:Surely you just wiggled something loose during installation. Check every connection twice!
I was very very careful. Installing the topper is super simple. It’s two plugs. I didn’t even touch other plugs. I triple checked and everything is still plugged in. I’m stumped???
Reseat the LCD connector at CN6. Even if it looks like its plugged in many times it could be loose. What connector ID do the instructions tell you to install the topper on?

I reseated CN6 and still nothing on LCD display.
Quoted from jk2171:Topper is just RJ45 cable, correct?
Topper is RJ45 cable and a cable to CN7. It was a very simple hookup. That’s why I’m shocked the LCD isn’t working now. With the topper completely disconnected or connected, the LCD display is out. The LCD display was working fine before.

The manual from Stern has a part in yhe beginning about the Spike 2 system, and how it isolates short circuits from different components so it doesn’t harm other components. Perhaps the LCD shorted out somehow? Id def reach out to Stern with the serial number on your game on Monday, and see if they can help.
