the shaft is the same length as a regular star roll-over so everything below the playfield is standard and I increased the height of the star section by 1mm in height so when a playfield is clearcoated it should be very close to level.

At the moment these 10 are for a friend that has a clearcoated old school playfield so it is a bit of a trial at the moment as not all of his roll overs are responding due to the clearcoat. At 10 units they were not cheap but if successful and if he is happy I can look at doing a run of 100 like the drops and stern coin chute / plates so the price is better for everyone.

So best I can do is watch this space in a few weeks time - fingers crossed.

Bloody genius
A lot of restorers don't remove the whole insert when clear coating and this poses quite the issue for switch activation.
I will be testing very soon and will post results here.
Bare in mind they will come Australia Post and could take a while.
REALLY looking forward to the install on this beast

One of these is not like the other.
While putting the first one in I have tweaked my fxxking back.
Anyway, does anyone have and easy way to install and set the switch for star rollovers? let me know

The left is the new one, just wish professional printing was as accurate as an injection mold but what can I say - custom star rollovers for clearcoat playfields better than nothing - thanks for sharing.

The shaft of the star should be the same as the original and therefore the switch should be close ???

UPDATE on star rollovers.
Worked a bloody treat. Now plays as should due to extra height above cleared play field.
Really happy with the result apart from breaking a couple of the insert stems under play field which helps them stay in.
Not the new rollovers just the crusty old insets which broke pushing the stars out.
Good now Swinksy mate!

I always just cut the nub off the bottom of my old stars due to that breakage potential, have had it happen as well.

Glad to hear these work though.
