Just picked this up locally from the original owner who was a past Bally employee. Upon closing the building the game was built in, according to him, it was the last separate head, cabinet, and playfield left to use to build a game. Himself and JP and a few others assembled the last TOM and serial number off the line!
Has proto sound board and all handwritten roms in the game.

Game was signed in house when it was finished by JP

Heres some pics for you guys.

Undecided on of its for sale or not

Nice looking game, interesting history

What's the rom version ? My game also had similar roms (v0.6 which is available on ipdb).

#3 2 years ago

Very cool history.

#4 2 years ago

Neat history on the pin Jesse. I'd offer to buy it if I didn't already have a ToM!

#5 2 years ago

Do you have the pic of the actual serial number?

#6 2 years ago

Very cool. Not to be a smart ass (really!) but I wonder if a signature by JP actually *hurts* the value of the game?

Now, to be a smart ass: on the plus side, if it's only on the saw, that's easily remedied.

#7 2 years ago

Lol yes it could be a bad thing with the jp signature
And yes it has a serial number

#8 2 years ago

How much "assembly" did JPop actually do?

It's a fully working pin, so I'd say none of it.

If you take a little paint thinner you could wipe jpoops filthy name right off the game and add $500 to the value of your machine. Do it!!

Of course it's for sale - why else include a pic of the shooter lane?

#13 2 years ago

Maybe you could put that signature on a check it would be worth more

i just sent you a PM

I guess that's one way of getting out of creating an ad and paying the fees.

#17 1 year ago

If you are selling, please list it in the marketplace.

We all saw the original post and photos

Just start a market place ad and set a price. I agree with wiping off the Jpop signature. That would help sell it.

You only pay fees if you say it sold here. Look through the archives and see how many say not sold through pinside. I would be willing to bet many did sell here but the seller says they didn't so there are no fees. Lots of people in this hobby are cheap and unethical so I bet they wouldn't think twice about lying where it sold to avoid a fee.

Oh yeah, I've noticed. I also notice how people will say that the pin has a pending sale, then just leave it that way until the ad expires.

Agreed, but there are also plenty of us who run ads here, on CraigsList, and other sites concurrently and often times one of those other sites led to finding a buyer.

It would be nice to see what this game is priced at on the marketplace.

Has proto sound board

If it was last off the line, why is it using a 'proto sound board'?

#23 1 year ago

Curious about price on this - I'd consider trading my WOZ for this..

#24 1 year ago

Upload the serial number to the IPSND, it would be interesting to see where it ranks based on the games so far.
I am confused about the sound board, that was not standard BLY/WMS practice to do this action and it was not a transition game into WPC 95.
It could be a fluke, it happens, at the end of productions sometimes based on available boards like when samples were sold to operators after conversion.

2 left hand boards have no board serial numbers or the top right, they are marked service boards (which means they were returned warranty boards, or new ones tagged and used just for testing in the service department.

Main bottom right board has a serial number.

Sound board has hand written test roms and is a proto board,
Remember this game was the last TOM built out of what they could find left to use!!

I had a lot of this info verified by a Chicago land past Bally tech, as well as my normal tech

there's what I know about the game fellas

They made another 5 WPC-S games after ToM, so they almost certainly had production sound boards available to use.
