    Quoted from gjm:

    Van Halen "I can't drive 55"

    Sammy Hagar. But, very close.

    Okay...

For me. It'd have to be:

Rainbow in the Dark. By... Who else... DIO!!!!!
Bruce Dickinson's Chemical Wedding the title track...

Judas Priest's You've Got Another Thing Coming.

    And then the finale.
Michael Schenker's The Storm of his Unforgiven album. Great song. Ends on a somber note. But, a lot of rocking.

Wow this is weird, I was just thinking about it this morning. I hope it isn't a sign LOL.

    Quoted from darkpinball:

A dear friend recently past away in blood cancer, R.I.P. Roland.
One of his last wishes was that Little Red Rooster singed by the Stones should be played at the funeral, I was a bit caught up in the moment of his last hours and never asked why but I assume it was one of his favourite songs.
The song was played at the funeral, great song but didnt make much sense at the time, it had my deepest respect though.
Me and my wife discussed this later and she wants Hotel California by the Eagels to be played when the time comes.
I can only think of one last song that I want to be played when Im in the coffin, Wayfaring Stranger singed by Emmylou Harris.

I wont comment this thread, its just a thread about your last respectful music wish.

One of the best threads ever my friend! Made me reflect all day and enjoy my day even more!

    Carpe Diem!

    Quoted from Rdoyle1978:

Out of respect for both Sammy and Ed - that is not a Van Halen song, although yes they have played it live.

You are correct, my mistake. I fixed it

I'll be dead so it doesn't really matter. Hopefully it's something without tact and funny.

This is the correct answer. The greatest song ever recorded is good enough for me.

No funeral planned, but I expect my closest friends will get lightly toasted while listening to Nine Inch Nails and discussing my insanity.

As you may guess, Bladerunner is my favorite movie. RIP, Rutger Hauer, rewrote the speech himself. He added the " All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die."

    Grand Funk: "The Locomotion"

I'm joking! But I don't know whether the joke is funnier here, or if I actually had it played at my service. The absurdity would be delicious!

Serious answer, even though most wouldn't be familiar: Rush's last song, "The Garden"
