About 3 months I moved my games; everything was working but LAH.
LAH booted up fine but my speaker lights were dim and flickering (never happened before).
Played for two minutes and then the sound started to screw-up. Arnold kept repeating "I'll be back"
I Turnoff the game..................
I took 5 minutes and googled the problem. I learned that "I'll be back" is the sound board resetting and (possibly) shorting out on the back plate. I took the soundboard off and add some duct tape to the area behind the soundboard; this did not work. So, I add a thin piece of cardboard to the area behind the soundboard; THIS WORKED.
(Someone did a repair job on the soundboard and mounted a resister on the back of the board. WTF!)
( I decided to cover the resister with a small piece of electric tape.)
Played for another two minutes the speakers lights were still flickering, left flipper was very weak, crane was not working correctly and it reset (i think).
Back to Google..... and I keep finding stories that my back plate maybe bent and shorting something out.
So, I unwillingly, took everything out of the back box. Being overly cautious I labeled all the plugs; it took about 3 hours.
Today, I FINALLY got to the back plate and removed it; I did not see any bending or warping. To safeguard against shorting I wrapped the plate (nicely) in duct tape.
Good idea or Bad idea?
Tell me know... please........
I will be slowly putting everything back into the back box.
