Sorry to ask again. What is the size of the legs on last action hero. I got mine mixed up with another data east game.

Quoted from chuckwurt:Mr. Tantrum came through on the spinner decals! thanks again.
Some other issues I need help with before I head back over there to finish this game up:
Can someone post a pic of the wires that go to the spinner? his are disconnected.
The crane has a mini coil on it that I believe holds the ball in place as it swings back and forth. is that a magnet, or doe it operate a mini post or something? His is not holding the ball in place.
thanks!
So looks like the post on the crane is always up. Then when it makes it to the lock, it engages and the post drops to let the ball roll down.

You are correct.
Hi,
I wanted to know where to find the Version Capn Mix, it doesn't appear here on the forum.. and as a new guy here, I can't contact the guy to ask him (no access to send messages, as a newbie). Or if someone could confirm my account to give me directly access to pm ?
Oh, and I'm working on a french version, with hard lines in french too, and try to delete a maximum of original 16bits voices and sounds. And add some slayer song, because it missed a lot!!

It’s 2 pages back in this thread....
I just picked this game up and it’s missing the topper. If anyone has a parts donor machine out there. I would like to buy the topper off it.
I just had some board work done on my LAH. It has been so long since it has been working that I can't remember if the following is normal, it seems to me it is not: I can launch the ball using the left flipper. In fact I can hit many switches on the playfield and launch the ball (I know this would never be possible to even do under normal circumstances with the glass on, but seems weird). For instance, the spinner will launch the ball. An eye ball target will launch the ball. I don't have any errors in switch test as if it is a matrix issue.

Yes, the ball can be launched from flipper if I remember correct.

Normal behaviour - just confirmed it on my LAH: took glass off, started game, prodded spinner with my finger —> Ball fired. So you‘re all good.
Apparently someone rigged up my game.
It sucks.
I can’t find the part in the manual does anyone know what it’s called?
The playfield does not sit right and someone has screwed a post in there where the missing part should be. I’m guessing that’s why it does not sit right and it’s a good place to start.
I am having trouble searching online for the part and can’t find it for sale.
If anyone out there has a junk DE to rob parts off of.

Thank you for checking and answering!!!
Quoted from BroMan90:Hey there,
Anybody with side blades or mirror blades on their LAH care to share some pictures?
Thinking about investing some money into mine to make it pop and haven't really seen this much on this game.
Thanks!
I decided to do both at the same time. I used Tilt graphics and some old, scratched up mirror blades i had kicking around. I think it came out great.

Very nice touch. Looks awesome.
Quoted from chuckwurt:So PBR says their generic white spinner works in LAH. I got that and decals from Mr. Tantrum.
I’ll report back on how everything works![quoted image][quoted image]
Wrong one I think. The micro switch spinners have an extra bend on one side. Might still be able to make work though.

According to the manual and part number, this spinner doesn’t have that extra bend. Can you check yours to be sure? I wasn’t able to find the original part number available anywhere and every picture I saw did not have the extra bend in the arm.

Nice, that looks fantastic!
Quoted from chuckwurt:Yeah this one was posted before. Looks like no extra bend. [quoted image]
Ok, looks like different setup maybe due to location. LW3 switches are on outside with extra bend.

Did it work?
Quoted from DustinP:Did it work?
Installing it on Sunday. I’ll report back Sunday night.

It should. My Playboy was missing one lock stock and barrel and I used a generic Williams one from Marco.
16116831337483151883015258297563_351973001945680 (resized).jpgThe spinner fits great! But the switch we bought doesn’t have a long enough actuator. So I’ll have to fix that.
The biggest issue is even after the new homepin magnet board, I get nothing from the magnets. The three fuses are all good. What should we check next? They don’t work in game or test.
Also, the ripper kicker stopped working. Switch works, no broken wires. I guess I’ll test the transistor next time I’m there. There’s not a fuse that operates that only is there? I didn’t think to test power at the coil.

Check for the 5v to the magnet board. Should be coming from the power supply CN6-7. On the magnet board J1 pin 4 should have 5v. If you have voltage then we are gonna move over to the logic. The 3 mags are the ORN/BK ORN/RED ORN/BRN on CN3 of the MPU. Those I believe are fed by a 6821.
Once again be sure to check all fuse clips. They will be crap more than likely.

Thanks Carey. I also got a tip that there’s a 50v fuse that runs the kickback and the magnets. Neither work. So I’m going to start there.
The fuse clips next to the magnets are new or close to new. Very good connection and strong.

When I say fuse clips - I mean ALL fuse clips. Not just the magnets. lol.
Anybody with mirror blades AND pinstadiums that can confirm everything fits? Tar pit gets pretty close to the glass. Also can you still lift the playfield?
I've heard you can but it is very very snug. Thanks in advance.

I have mirror blades with PinStadium Fusion installed. You will need to be ultra careful when lifting the PF. The tar pit is actually resting against the pinstadium when installed.

It's worth it... But and this is pretty much mandatory, you need to line the sides of your playfield with a felt or something. I put mirror blades on mine in September, and by October they were all scratched up, I didn't listen to the wisdom of felt, and I paid the price. Dont do what I did.
Things I did to mine to make it pop:
Titan rubbers, yellow and blue (but do whatever color you want)
Comet LEDs throughout (with just one purple bulb in the back spotlight, gives it a very 80's/90's ambiance in the back without rainbow puking) and color match inserts
Yellow bats
Led ocd board- highly recommend
Pinsound plus with the capn mix, highly recommend but pricey
Things I haven't done but want to:
Color dmd (again pricey, I will one day)
All metal comes off for powder coating.

Thanks! Going to dumping some money into mine to try to make it really pop. Its my first pin from my childhood and also home ownership so it deserves to be treated with some love.
Anyone know what screw to attach the ramp diverter correctly? I don’t believe this is right. The game I have was definitely routed at one point in its life and they used whatever was handy to get it going again. This is obviously too long as it doesn’t clear the plastic. The other side has a hole but it’s smaller diameter and I’m not sure it’s even used?

Average hardware store will have set screws, that is what you need.

Nice. Thanks!

Sorry, was suppose to say average hardware store should have these.
Another issue driving me nuts is the spinner was missing on my game. Switch with the long arm was there just no spinner. I ordered the generic and installed it but my spinner wants to sit sideways and the ball just passes right through. Is there a trick to getting it to rest vertical? I played around with it and the switch arm but gave up on it.

No problem. I knew by the picture you posted. Thank you!

Better picture? Something looks wrong with the right pivot (too far in perhaps) but can't make it out.
Using a pinhole camera and AOL dial up to post? Having not seen a picture that bad since the 90's

I will have to get a better picture.
