I would most likely be interested. As long as price is not outrageous. Like the few recent nos ones that have popped up recently. $300+ plus is just crazy for any ramp

#2302 50 days ago

Add me to the list for a ramp.

#2303 50 days ago

Put me on the list!

Perfect, thanks for the reply! Hopefully more will follow suit in the next few days

Quoted from Yasha429:

Yeah I know that (myself included with regard to looking for the ramp) but I think he's looking more for a concrete number than just general interest or someone just saying "yeah I need one". I assume his price wouldn't be crazy either. Even if people have got an intact one it couldn't hurt to have a spare since they're so tough to find.

I am in for one.

Add me to the list for 1, would also be interested in 1 of the clear ones if he decides to do some of those.

#2313 50 days ago
Quoted from Yasha429:

So I know this has been a common problem with this game. The freakin' tar pit ramp is IMPOSSIBLE to find. I have a lead on someone willing to lend out a NOS tar pit ramp and a friend of a friend who can make reproductions of it. He says he'll make reproductions of it if he can get enough interest. I know personally I need one and I know others out there do as well. Reply to me with interest if you'd be willing to buy a tar pit ramp and maybe we can all finally get over the difficulty it takes to find this part.

I'd take one too, mine has a little crack, but who knows how long it'll be before the thing falls apart!

Got my wireforms back from powder coating last week...woot! I would've started re-building the play field this past weekend, but I was subject to one of the many pitfalls of being a truck owner...helping a friend move, oh well.

In any case, I've copied y'all's (thecapn) idea to powder coat the wireforms yellow, I think they'll really pop like this! Also, waaaaaay cheaper than re-chroming them.
Got my new ticket decal, Matchbox truck, Titan rubbers, and what is likely 2 of 3 orders of LEDs (I forsee making a 3rd order by the weekend for a few more lamps). I still need to measure after I get the ramps re-installed...I have a really cool toy idea, but am not sure if I can make it fit...details to come!

I'll also be ordering a new PPB board, it currently works thanks to a previous field repair (burnt connector, affected wires soldered directly to fuses...yuck), but it'll be a relatively cheap investment to upgrade to a Rottendog board...with my luck, I'll find an issue with the MMB also and end up replacing that.

Going to start putting in the second round of LEDs and start to re-install playfield toys/plastics this week, I wonder how far I can get before the weekend?

Wireforms look good. I probably would have done the crane at the same time both for color consistency and simply due to the fact it probably has wear as well.

#2322 44 days ago

Yea, I remember doing all my wireforms and then being pissed that I didn't do my crane too. All matches now though. I believe all the decals for the crane are still available. I would also put some mylar in the hit spots of the wireform where the VUK shoots it up. Depending on how often you play the chipping will occur.

Yeah, I will probably regret it, but I am on a budget...lol...at least I'm trying to adhere to a budget!
Fortunately, my crane shows almost no wear at all...but I probably will end up pulling it, stripping it, and powder coating to match down the road.
I did get a full decal set from Marco's, had to get drop target decals and it was almost cheaper to get the whole set instead of just the "C-R-A-N-E" decals, so I still have freshy decals for the crane body and everything else when I do strip it.

Thanks for the mylar idea, I do have some little 1' patches I can cut up.

What does the PPB Board controls again? I’m having problems with all my fuse holders breaking

#2325 37 days ago

PPB controls all your solenoids.

#2326 35 days ago

I still have a laundry list of little things to do, but the playfield has been reassembled and he plays fast as sin! Woot!

For a second I thought I was looking at MY game. lol. You will need to adjust your flippers. They are angled too far down. FYI. The inlane plastic to flipper rubber at rest should be a straight line.

Yeah, I thought the left one looked a little derpy, thanks for reassuring my suspicions!
Good to know too, I was gonna adjust it to match the right...now I know

#2329 34 days ago

Right one looks off too

#2330 33 days ago

Hm...has anyone ordered one of these beautiful looking things? I dare say, it is superior to both the "big head" and "big boot" editions...

First thought is that I like “Big Foot” best but this matches the playfield best and looks like it should have came with it from DE. IMO :- )

#2332 33 days ago

Yeah, Im not a fan of the above translight. I put the "Big Boot" translight in mine. It fits the movie poster.

So I’m having a problem with lower playfield GI lights, any idea of which board or plug to check? I cheap checking fuses but I’m having a hard time following the wires through the Lomé

Check the PPB (Playfield Power Board) its the lower left board in the back box. Also check the Main Power Board, top left in the back box. Look for burn marks on the boards and connectors, then meter for voltage at the connectors.

#2335 30 days ago

Got the flippers fixed...its a learning process, right? Also removed the curling mylar by the "Chicken" scoop. Some of the paint had already come up, before I tugged on it, so I removed the remainder. I have to give credit to the freeze spray, that stuff does wonders! I was able to at least save the border and beyond from the mylar. I plan to print a decal to go in its place. I also applied that beautiful decal from atariaction, thank you! This decal is top notch and was easy to apply.

Also finished installing the rest of the lamps, 100% LED now! I may still add some more GI, but I'm still toying with ideas.

Does anyone have a spare upper rear playfield plastic? The strip that goes goes across the back above the playfield. PM me if you have one you would be willing to let go of for a reasonable cost

lol. I made the same mistake when clearcoating my LAH. I pulled up the chicken scoop portion and "CHICKEN" came with it. I was like "great!". I printed a new waterslide and cleared the PF - can't tell a difference.

#2337 22 days ago

Picked up a LAH as a project flipper. Man, this pin is loaded with stuff

Looks like you got a real nice clean playfield, have fun! This machine has been a blast to work on.

#2340 20 days ago

It’s indeed a nice playfield which is rather clean. The cabinet however ..... That really needed some cleaning. somewhere in his lifetime this pinball got a playfield swap.

Finished first refurbishing the pcb’s, raving the hacks, than cleaned the cabinet and now the playfield is under construction. Looks like an easy pin to shop so that shouldn’t take long.

Ended selling my lah. I bought a nos blue ramp that i don't need now. 400 shipped. Or will trade for a colordmd led. Can get more pictures as well. There is a few scratches on it from being stored. Stickers will cover them up.

#2342 17 days ago

So, finished more or less the shop job besides some minor stuff.

It’s an easy pin to shop but had a lot of loose GI wires and connection problems on PCBs. Looks like it’s now fully operational again but I do expect some errors will pop up in the first week of extensive play. That’s usually the case with Pin’s which have sit unplayed for several years.

Have an issue with the calibration on the crane? I see you have a pad on the crane. My recommendation is to either put the pad on the other side of the arm to hit that switch so it's only seen when you are using the crane instead of the other way around or find something a little more cosmetically appealing to put in it's place. If it doesn't bother you and it works - then that is all that matters.

So the pad is not standard? It was like this when I bought it and it’s now fully functional. Doesn’t bother me honestly speaking so think I will leave it as is.

#2347 9 days ago

I would take a tar ramp as well, depending on price. $400 for a NOS one criminal price-gouging. That is roughly 15% the value of the damn game!

#2348 8 days ago

I would take a ramp as well

#2349 8 days ago

I'll add myslef again....yes I'll take a ramp as well. I did see that $400 price tag coming up again. It is hilarious. I recall getting one through a friend of mine in Germany for somebody on here, and I believe the price was $125 or less, which suddenly seems like the deal if the century. Would I have known then how impossible they are to find, and what the prices are now, I would have kept it for myself

#2350 7 days ago

Considering buying this pin. Which one is the tar pit ramp? The blue one on the left?
