Quoted from WilhelmRyanIV:Williams coils also have two diodes built in to the entire assembly.
Only the new style parallel wound coils that where introduced in the mid 1987.
Starting with Williams F-14 TOMCAT.
Prior years, the coils where series wound and used only one diode.
Quoted from KSUWildcatFan:Well, that sucked. I'm not sure what was up with both of these nuts but neither one wanted to come undone easily. I did get one, but had to use vice grips and get VERY aggressive on the other. Stripped all the threads the entire way down. Hopefully I can rethread it when I go to put it back in the game.

You should have used a Dremel type tool and side cut the nut off.
It would have saved the wire form threads.
