Sounds like you might have incorrect coils. I had strong ones that would give me lots of air balls. Put in the proper coils, and flippers were still strong, but no more air balls.

I'll have to check. I don't have it anymore, but I remember some printed material had the incorrect coils listed. I'm still in contact with the guy that bought mine, so I'll find out in the next day or so for you.

Sounds right. Here's what I installed when my flippers died. The new ones are FL-11630.

I think a weaker coil would solve this problem.
I need to check the printed materials, as I know Laser War did have different coils listed at one point. This chart may help: http://www.pinballmedic.net/coil_chart.html
But the FL's were of equal strength, and work fine.
