I sent a PDF file to a local laser cutter today for a quote on having a sheet of .060" lexan cut into plastic protectors (cutting area was 11" x 13"), figuring, based on the costs I see here and on Ebay of finished sets, this would run me maybe $40-50 bucks. I would be providing the sheet of lexan. Was quoted $80 plus a $45 programming/setup charge. For that kinda dough, I might as well take my chances and then just buy an entire new plastics set if something breaks.

So question, Those of you with laser equipment, is this a reasonable charge? Should I keep shopping around or is this about what I'll find anywhere? Here's a jpeg of the artwork that I had sent the company.

Yup, all in vector, that's just a jpeg I exported.
