If you are into cars, Count's Kustoms is a nice, free tour that should be fairly close.

Ellis Island for good, cheap food but really you aren't even close.
For those looking for a place to stay, find something with a view. I used to be able to get Vdara Bellagio Fountain view for a little less than $100/night via Airbnb. It's such a cool view when the fountains are doing their thing. And the look on the face of the person who booked directly through MGM Resorts when they hear all that extra shi* they are paying for is included with your stay is priceless.
I love to drink and gamble, but most of my fondest memories are the things we did on day trips outside of Vegas. Get a rental car if it is cheap enough.
