Quoted from Hangry:So I recently got a lah myself not long ago. My launch coil did exactly what yours did at start up. Didn’t think anything of it really cause I didn’t know better. Game played just fine.
One game, middle of the multiball, it just stopped firing and started to stack balls. So I turned it off. Turned it back on, no launch, I switch tested and ran coil tests on everything, everything else was working. Thought hmmm, bad coil? Checked the coil, got 4.5 resistance. So I popped open the back to test the transistors and right off the bat what I found. This may be what’s up with yours just didn’t get all toasty like mine just did.

did you swap out that bad tranny and did it stop doing this behavior at start up?
