Yes boilerman, that is the piece that broke. 50 year old brittle plastic. Things are bound to happen. I will have a few of these come Monday. One from PBR, one from Hoov and one from the repair guy on Monday. It is good to have these as a back up in case it happens to other reels. Having a few 5 dollar parts around can't hurt. Who knows someone else may need one in a pinch.

You would probably be better off buying whole assemblies. I throw some up on Ebay now and again and they usually go for 17 or so if very nice, maybe 10 if not so nice. Then you have a selection, including clips that go flying.
