    Not true. Almost no stress.

    It's perfectly fine to rotate the leveler with the weight of the machine on the floor. The torque required to achieve 75% yield strength of a cheap 3/8" bolt is more than 20 foot lbs. Now, if you have to pull more than 40 lbs force on your 6" crescent wrench to move the leveler, then you might overstress the leveler. If you have to pull that hard, the bolt is probably rusted stuck and will break regardless of whether you jack the bolt off the floor or not!
