Quoted from kruzman:starting the paint work on the nos paragon finally.
[quoted image]
I shouldn’t assume this one is mine, but I’m thinking yes, and excited to see it progressing. Thanks Ron!

Quoted from kruzman:a bunch of pfs ;hanging around... making trouble. See if you can find yours
There’s my Paragon … mostly hidden. Can tell by the weird shooter lane inlay.

It’s been brutal in the Northeast too. Can’t get much of anything done.
Quoted from kruzman:The owner of this paragon has been a prince of patience.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Hehe, thanks Ron! It might be patience … or it might be dementia setting in.
Looking great. Will keep standing by.
I’m telling my wife I’m the Prince of Patience. Uncontrollable laughter will follow.

Quoted from kruzman:I should ask the owners opinion.
My gut reaction is to just say that I trust your opinion… but if you want to send me a snap of the area in question I’d be happy to throw in my two cents. Either way, sincere thanks for the consideration.
Quoted from CashMoney:So my buddy and I are finally getting around to doing our Shadow PF swap.
What a beauty that's going to be.....
Quoted from kruzman:I would sure like to make that show, but the week of may 20, I am going to a pearl Jam show in las vegas
Pearl Jam was in our town last year for the "Sea Hear Now" festival. It was all general admission and part of the festival, so tickets were comparatively cheap, and diehard fans were able to get up front with a little patience. We hung waaay back on the beach. Great show. Eddie Vedder was seen strolling our beaches earlier in the day...
Quoted from kruzman:I just started the final block sand on a NOS PARAGON.
…Just squeaked with excitement, sitting here with my wife having morning coffee. Trying to convey the great news to her that the Paragon is nearing completion. She does her best to show interest … I’m thrilled. Thanks for the update Ron!
Quoted from kruzman:I wish I could put a note on the pfs that says if the owner of this game passes away, I am sorry for your loss, but please contact ron kruzman, so this game can go home..
Add the note. I’ll consider it an honor. My lovely wife loves pinball, and knows how much I love Paragon, so I can’t guarantee that she’ll abide.
Quoted from kruzman:I used to have that same front door I think. mine was on a house that was built in about 1921, and it took 40 hours to strip the dam thing.
I think ours is a reproduction, but funny that our house was built in 1920. Makes me wonder now…
Quoted from Ballypalooza:Have we not opened the Paragon yet?! Killin us, cmon.
Busy night last night ... it's coming.
Reveal….
(I’m guilty of not wiping the playfield down, so there may be little flecks of packing foam or dust on the surface that shows up on the pics)

Quoted from monkfe:...that is a big fat fatty....
Haha! Yeah it is. Which made me think I should snap a pic of my other big fat fatty … a CPR “gold” SI playfield. I’m very happy with it, but here’s a perfect example of why Ron is in such high demand. Close up of clear is just not in the same league…
163C7F6C-E557-4D52-8BB0-039907741F4F.jpeg697D8DDF-512B-4E53-B207-1D3B5D0F7E0E.jpegD2116FE6-8580-4937-A955-B7004C505D32.jpegQuoted from kruzman:You will need the install kit for that roll over in SI. I just got the bits shipped so I am mailing out about 5 of them monday, I will send one to you, and if i owe you a kit or you want one let me know, because like I said monday they are going out. price is 95 plus ship 100$
I sent you the $$ for the install kit for the Paragon. Can the kit be used more than once (for the SI that is)?
And that said … Why don’t I just send you the SI playfield. I already have a perfect crate!
Here’s a good side by side. Kruzman Paragon on left, CPR Space Invaders on right. Same camera, focal length, exposure, etc.. shot it out my front window with a bug screen - which actually helps highlight the clarity differences. No contest. Love both playfields and highly respect CPR. Kevin has been very clear (no pun intended) on how far they go at CPR. Ron takes it to a whole new level for those that want it.

Good point, but I guess H.R. Giger inspired artwork was a lot more marketable. I’m a Giger (and Aliens) fan, and largely why I chose the game. Per the notes on IPDB.org the artwork on the backglass was deemed an unlicensed copy of the Alien. I’m curious about the details, and if compensation was ever awarded to Giger.
If you like Giger’s art, it is worth watching the documentary “Dark Star - H.R. Giger’s World”. It goes really deep into the stories behind the artist and his art.
The game would have been very different if they stuck to the original art…

This is the rarest one I’ve got, and likely heading your way at some point. NoS Devil’s Dare that was cleared. Looks pretty solid For a re-clear, but I will certainly trust it in your good hands for whatever it needs. Next to Catacomb it’s one of my all time faves.
A1C21B01-549C-470A-860F-DF6387506205 (resized).jpegQuoted from kruzman:I went on a road trip this morning and picked up another pink panther. its so cool how big these sys 80 games are.
1152 sq inches when a medusa pf has 840. I picked medusa because it was about the same time.
Also checked out a dudes sweet ramcharger.

Love this playfield. Not sure if it’s nostalgia or the color palette … just love it. A big beautiful work of art.
Quoted from kruzman:Naked chicks floating in space!!!! sign me up!
I was thinking that very same thing.
Quoted from kruzman:SI is a huge assed plank!!
My SI looks awesome. It'll be sitting in my office next to Paragon until I get around to install time ... two huge ass planks ... gorgeous artwork ... quality finish done right. Thanks Ron.
Quoted from kruzman:I am glad to see he is not dragging it!! thats a bulky heavy crate
Same here ... I happen to catch the live feed as he was hoofing it up my steps. Guy looked exhausted by the time he hit the top step....
Quoted from Beatnik-Filmstar:I'm going to imagine that watching a FedEx (Or any other) delivery driver hauling your Kruzman playfield crate up the walkway on a door cam has to be a pretty terrifying 30 seconds or so.
pleasejustsetitdownpleasejustsetitdownpleasejustsetitdownpleasejustsetitdownpleasejustsetitdownpleasejustsetitdown
Hehe… yeah, that’s the truth … albeit Ron’s crates are built to take a pretty good punishing.
***EDIT: THIS IS NOW SPOKEN FOR***
Anyone need an official Ron Kruzman crate? This trusty behemoth transported Paragon and Space Invaders playfields and is now up for grabs. Naturally this is for big playfields, and local pickup. Would hate to throw it out, and don’t have the space to store it.
Quoted from kruzman:I like the pic of the crate because it reminds me of old steam trunks that have the stickers on them from all over the place.
When I send a crate home, I have been instructed to remove the old shipping stickers, so not to confuse the current journey. Its a bummer that I have to pull those stickers, just because it shows the travels it has made.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. It's got a lot of character, and will have a bit more when I send it back with a Creature inside....
