I really like the original style of inserts on this, personally. The starburst ones add too much visual detail in the wrong places for my taste.
Quoted from Coyote:Also wow, that ink on the text is really, really blown out. Huh.
Gotta be a CPR!
Quoted from Tophervette:A restoration with planking you say? I have read many times in this post where Ron has said he does not do Resto's anymore. Basically, because it takes too much time and would cost you more than buying a new PF. But I am sure he will answer this soon enough. There was a guy in Las Vegas that advertised restoring PF's. He was expensive too.
Use caution with the Las Vegas playfields guy. I've seen a number of his projects with huge thick keylines around inserts - like beyond reasonable - and bad font matches. Maybe if keylines or fonts don't need to be reworked he is a good option.
Quoted from sethbenjamin:On the other hand, he heroically rescued a number of Solar Fire playfields by re-screening them. I have two of those builds in my queue and the playfields look terrific.
Glad to hear it. Don't want to bury the guy wholesale, but I remember seeing his font work on a rare Gemini playfield and being really disappointed. Cool on the Solar Fires. I had no idea that happened.
Quoted from kruzman:I am glad she got her skin figured out or whatever. I like her tights.
LOL. That was a great read.
