Here is some news from the last couple weeks

My website was updated this week (thank you tommy) pinballplayfiledskruzman.com. Everything is priced but you can always make an offer. I dont know if I will take it, but it wont hurt

Some titles that have made it in the site are
alice cooper
wiz of oz (2011 pre mirco)
TNA prototype has side rails and ball guides installed, looks cool hung as art
Houdini
Mata Hari cleared by me. cpr repro, comes with custom side rails and new set of cpr plastics

8 Ball DElUX mirco, Kruzman clear, selling for a customer

Some titles that I just got that have not made it to the website yet, but are available

DE PLAYBOY NOS!! Thats right! DE playboy!!

Tommy NOS
Bally rolling stones nos
stern mandelorian pro nos
Stern Ted Nugent (the wackmaster) NOS
STRANGE WORLD wade K repro (coming soon!!)

I am trying to build up some pfs for winter, when it usually gets more busy. The reason I like to have them in stock is it saves on shipping, and I know how old they are, meaning I can start working on them right away. If I get a fresh made pf, it really needs to sit for 4 months at least.
If you have any pfs you are not going to use, sell them to me, and we will get them installed in a game!!!!

Rocky and Bullwinkle restoration clearcoat will be done this week its available for sale
Sharky's Shootout restoration/clear will be done in the next 2 weeks available for sale

The following Jobs have all of their coats down and are waiting for final cure/block sand/ polish/clean
Iron maiden premium
WPT
Quicksilver 2
Scared stiff repro
stargazer
DR who main pf
Banzi run cpr
Mata hari cpr
STTNG nos proto
INDY 500 restoration

The following just need their last coat, then they go on the list above
IJ NOS main pf
TZ NOS sample

I want to thank everyone I have worked with this year, I have really enjoyed the year so far.

#2407 1 year ago

Another notice i forgot.
If you ordered a strange world pf from WADE, and you planned on having me clear it, please contact him or I.

If anyone has a strange world pf that is restorable OR you ordered one of the repros from wade, and your existing pf is restorable, I am interested in it. I want to restore one to do a little custom work to the woman standing in the center.

Looking forward to the upcoming Dr Who playfield swap, once it has dried enough. It will be my first swap. I have accumulated as many new parts as are available. The Pindoc rotisserie is assembled and painted. A work bench of tools are ready. I have the swap kit/prep for new boards from Ron already. I have my eye on a portable drill press to drill and dimple. I bought new drill bits too. The new cabinet is already painted, decaled, and wired. The head unit is as well and populated with new boards. I am in the process of building a new Mini-Playfield motorized unit. It is all coming together.

I had to remove all of the t nuts on the mini pf. I remove them on all pfs, but there are like 15 on that small mini. I set them aside and will try to send them back to ya.
Not only do they fill w clear and make it impossible to thread, many stand higher than the pf surface which makes sanding difficult.

Isn't adam levine a musician on the tele?
or another adam levine, I guess its a pretty common name?

#2414 1 year ago

Yeah, Adam Levine is Maroon 5's lead singer. Don't know if he's into pinball or not. Some rockers are - Ryan Adams brings a couple machines onto the stage with him when he plays, and has a pin set up in his dressing room.

Thanks Ron! Those small Tnuts are hard to find. Plus the front ones have to sit even with the MPF, as a cliffy goes over the top of them.

This is really good to know. Back in the day (1999-covid) t nuts were hard to find, and some sizes you could only get with different sized heads, and they didnt work. I have hundreds of all of the sizes they made, because I didnt know what was going to work and what not. Plus I save all t nuts that are not rusty.

I just finished a mirco scared stiff that looks so good I dont even care how much my back hurts right now. I will post pics when it stops raining.

She is so hot. When this game came out I didnt think elviria was that sexy, but when you get older and sex gets a whole lot more complicated (in a good way) she is amazing. I paid good money a while back in NYC for a woman who looked like her, to kick the shit out of me!

#2421 1 year ago

I’m guessing you were scared stiff??

I appreciate that. I have had so many shrinks suggest that and I always laugh and yell "evidence exhibit number 1!"

Like I said,, I didnt think I was going to live long so I lived to the absolute maximum. I am starting to believe it was a mistake. Well I dont regret any of my life except becoming an addict, and being shitty to people who loved me. The bummer is when you live as hard as you, can you wake up one day an old man with no wife and family. Lots of friends and lots of experience. I couldnt have settled down when I was suppose to, so there is no use in regretting anything, but I will say I am about to look in to russian mail-order brides. I think that still out there.

When you are under 40 chicks/people will lineup to be with a guy who is living the artist/ Bukowski/ Piacsso life style, day by day, fairly successfully and answering to few. When you are over 55, good luck finding a woman, even in a woman's prison with a hand full of pardons! Though a lot of my isolation is living out in the sticks. I spent most my life in huge cities, and now I despise the smell, volume and traffic of big cities.
we shall see what happens.

#2426 1 year ago

We love you Ron! You do great work and one of the bestest guys I never met (yet)! Keep on keeping on. Thank you for all you do.

NOS DE PLAYBOY PF'S

So this is very exciting. Some very rare pf porn. I have been collecting pins since 1983, and this is the first time I have ever seen a nos DE Playboy PF, and I was able to buy 2.
These are in amazing condition. They were stored in a box for about 35 years upside down on a cement floor, so there is a little planking on top, but it looks way worse than it is. It doesnt even make it to the white text. The laminate is not separated at all, and the black area can be easily fixed. I need to make a drill and dimple template for them with the used pf I have that I planned to restore. I do have all 3 playboy games, but I have never set up my DE so I dont know what the pf looks like.

So one is for sale. I am going to wait till day tomorrow to examine them in the light to get a price

INFO ON STRANGE WORLD REPRO PFS

Also I am doing my first production clear on a couple of wade's strange world pfs. So if you would rather have 4 coats of automotive clear, rather than the screened lacquer that he usually does, we have a couple available. feel free to contact wade or me. Tomorrow I am going to put the final coat on 2 of them. This will be much harder than the usual available clear on his pfs. Its not my kruzman 34-40 hour process, just a couple coats, sanded and a couple coats. I hope to post some pics tomorrow.
Of course you can have my regular process on one also. The production clear will be a very minor additional fee.

Lol I’m surprised there’s no big bush lol.

#2430 1 year ago

Oh I was there in the days when they demonized and shunned the beaver. Horrible times. i came back to america in 93 and most of the women looked like middle schoolers. I was sad indeed! I was used to that south european bush, and arm pits in the canary islands.
Save the beaver! not shave the beaver!

I NEED A USED DE PLAYBOY PF: to make a drill and dimple pattern. I can borrow , rent, or buy it. I place a piece of plexi on top of it and mark the spots, I dont drill in to your pf or damage it at all.
If you know anyone with one of these, please get a hold of me or them, and I will beg them, to use it.

I have thought I had a used one for a couple years. I either sold it or mistook it for the DE batman I have.
I am going to put the used DE batman up for sale tomorrow and post the pics its as nice as a used pf gets and that is very rare for this title. I would rate it as good as used gets.

I have been in a DE kind of mood lately. This Data East Batman is for sale as is $500 if you want to restore it or have someone do it. (The point I am trying to make is I am not interested in restoring it right now). If its doesn't sell, I prob will in the future, but it could be years.

That big circle on the guys face is mylar glue, as well as up at the top lanes. I will remove it before I sell if you want me to. I removed the mylar because doing that makes people really nervous, and I understand why, for sure.

#2438 1 year ago

Here is a notice to everyone: (not my usual rantings that are mostly meaningless)

I need a Batman 66 pf to make a drill and dimple template. I just bought the pf, and come to find out its not dimpled. I can see why the inserts are off just enough that some you can see the edges. Kind of like a cpr bronze I guess. I would still install it as is on that expensive title.
Anyway I need to borrow, buy or rent a dimpled batman 66 pf. Tell your friends and family.

Here are the finished pics of the rocky and bullwinkle restoration that is for sale 1700/offer.

I posted pics a couple months back, but I wasn't finished with the clear yet.

#2443 1 year ago

Next paycheck I am going to see if there are some DVD's of rocky and bullwinkle cartoons on ebay. Yes I still use DVD's. I still use LP records. Hell I have a Tube HI FI. No transistors or computer chips except for my cd player that still has a tube powered digital/analogue converter.
Anyway separate rant. hopefully they did a bunch of seasons. I have heard rocky's voice for months while working on this.

#2444 1 year ago

I have those Rocky and Bullwinkle DVD's - they're fun. I wasn't such a big fan of Moose and Squirrel, but those Fractured Fairytales still kill me!

FANTASTIC! My memory is that it was like a variety show, with a bunch of different story lines and characters. Its one of the few cartoons I havent watched with adult eyes now. They are so different than when you were a kid, in the morning watching them. I Look forward to it!

#2446 1 year ago

You'll love those - definitely different with adult eyes.

I like R&B much better as an adult, honestly.

This NOS DR who was quite a bit of work for a nos, but now that they are 30-40 years old the NOS pfs are almost a resto job. Every nos that comes in now, I check the bottom and top edges for the laminate separating, and glue and clamp if necessary. I painted all of the inserts, and the arrow at the top l and the far bottom center hot dog insert had to be pulled and releveled, and then decaled.
The mini pf had to be cut out before I started because cutting it out after the clear would have left some crappy edges on both pfs.
The mini got hung up in the paint area, and I havent painted in a month, so its going to be a month on that, but this main pf is ready for installation.
It is not easy clearing a black pf like this. when you have 8 coats, you have 8 chances to screw up and burry a dustie or an issue, everything shows because the clear is a magnifier. Since its so perfectly flat and clear any imperfection looks like garbage

OMG = I am very afraid to mess that beauty up. I will have to take my sweet time drilling each hole. I think I will start on the back side as a practice. Great work RON.

Quoted from kruzman:

This NOS DR who was quite a bit of work for a nos, but now that they are 30-40 years old the NOS pfs are almost a resto job. Every nos that comes in now, I check the bottom and top edges for the laminate separating, and glue and clamp if necessary. I painted all of the inserts, and the arrow at the top l and the far bottom center hot dog insert had to be pulled and releveled, and then decaled.
