Got my first Kruzman restored and cleared Playfield and it is an awesome piece that guy is really a hell of an artist with what he can do bringing back shit to perfection. Now I need a reasonably priced restoration candidate to put it in

Shooter lane would bug me but hard to know how bad it was before. Now find a pos creature to throw that bad boy into

#4 9 years ago

Glorious.

#5 9 years ago
Quoted from Pinballer22:

Shooter lane would bug me

Why?

#6 9 years ago

my guess would be the ply layers not really showing so clearly/defined, and a little feather out up top.

but..who cares..really nice pf.

#7 9 years ago

You can see all the touch ups really badly imo

#8 9 years ago

Yeah the shooter lane was in pretty rough shape in the before pics. Once its in a game and populated you will barely notice it.

I think you are also seeing the reflection from the overhead lighting in my apartment because looks much better in person. Here is a pic without the lighting

definitely looks better in that pic

#11 9 years ago

Take more flattering pics. Do some from eye view of the playfield, not straight above. The reflection is killing those pics

Yeah we loooove seeing the glass like surface of a kruzman clear job. Pure pin porn.

I will get some tomorrow for everybody

#14 9 years ago

His work is killer
I had a NOS SM PF that was like ice.

#15 9 years ago

The shooter lane has no paint, it is sanded, as well as the roll over slots. the pic may be misleading, or maybe you don't like it, But I will say in real life it is perfect. I sanded the crap out of it and bleached it. NO paint

Pinballer 22 usually finds an issue with my work. If you are talking about any other touch ups, I challenge you to find one besides the hole repairs. In the 11 years I have been doing this, I think this is one of my top 5 jobs. If it was anyone besides pinballer 22 I would say you need to see it in person. Just like how many pf's have you bought where the pics look awesome and the actual pf is horrible, but he just likes to rip on my stuff. you are the only one in all this time. This all goes back to a disagreement about half year ago, and now I expect it

as for the clear coat, I sanded that it from 1000-3000 then polished for over 5 hours

here is 80 pics, find me one touch up. I say that because I don't do touch up. I repaint the whole area, so you can never tell what has been painted. also I sand down to the original ink so it dosent look like I painted on top of a sheet of glass. I have never been more confident as I am on this pf! it means a lot to me, and I painted every single insert, because they had hairline cracks

Ive seen alot of Kruzman's work firsthand and its beautiful. He wont ship a playfield if he's not happy with it. He's almost too much of a perfectionist!

#18 9 years ago

Kruzman's the absolute shit...he can touch my shooter lane up any time he wants!

I feel stupid I fell for it again. Everytime a client post pics and is all happy, I know sure as hell pinballer 22 is coming. I rarely come to this channel except to sell something or when a friend sends me a link about my work.
I have been doing this for a living for 11 years, and there is only one person who has ever said crap about it. But since he contributes nothing but his opinion, there isn't much I can do but stay away. But I sure would like to meet you one day pinballer 22. you know my name, so come to my booth sometime and say hi at a show.
Thanks for the support gentlemen. I suppose all that matters is that the customer and I are happy, and that is the case. I cant wait to see it installed

#22 9 years ago

Any pinsider knows (including pinballer 22) that a playfield coming from Kruzman is going to be THE BEST. Any negative comments are simply ignored.

#23 9 years ago

Oh, yeah...and HEP sucks, too.

#24 9 years ago

I got to chime in here guys. Kruzman is an awesome dude from day one talking to this guy about his work, life and pinball overall had been a pleasure. I knew I was getting an awesome playfield from him when I saw the pictures and just by talking to him about how obsessive he is with producing a quality product. Every guy restoring a game should take the amount of pride that Ron puts into his finished product. When I opend that crate I was blown away seeing how nice that playfield looked and can't wait to get this thing in a game. Believe me there isn't a single flaw on this thing shooter lane included, my photog skills with an iPhone and shitty lighting in my apartment can be to blame for the shooter lane controversy.

I couldn't be happier with what Ron put out and making a new buddy in this hobby I never get to pinball shows but hopefully one day will get to meet the man in person. If he comes off as a little salty that's becuase some people in this hobby/business can be dicks and he doesn't deserve it.

I will try to post some good eye level pics tonigt after work

#25 9 years ago

I love seeing that FedEx shipping label.

#26 9 years ago

I dare someone to go up to Ron at the next show and introduce yourself as Pinballer22.

Great work as usual Ron! Keep it up.

Someone should pay a hooker to go up to him and say it. Would be funny to see what happens.

#29 9 years ago

He does great work.

Photos are misleading - the white bits are packing material on my photo.

Ron did this for me last year. Hit the Deck.

Pretty sad he just stops in to trash talk then is nowhere to be seen. I find the pictures of your work amazing and wish I could have one of your playfields installed some day.

Oh id do it, but then I don't know who Ron is so I'd have to be introduced.

Lol. Me making a comment based on a picture that obviously was pourly taken misleading me to believe there was what looked like poor paint touch up on the shooter lane. Based on your listing price i felt that a $1500+ pf shouldnt have that. The follow up pic by the op cleared that up. Not once did i say anything personally about your work as a whole and from what i tell you do great work.

All this over a misunderstanding that i have since long forgotten.

Trash talk??? I made one comment.

Buy a game that needs a pf and buy a pf from ron and do the swap...no longer a wish

#34 9 years ago

I've seen a Earthshaker playfield Kruzman did for a local friend of mine. He waited almost 18 months for it but said it was well worth it because it looked amazing once he swapped it in.

#35 9 years ago

That's an absolute beauty, congrats

#37 9 years ago

I don't know how anybody could accept such shoddy work.

You can see the shine pics could be better but it's the best I can do. In person it's the best looking playfield I have ever seen

Looks amazing. And it appears it may have been a bit cold in the room while you took the picture?

#43 9 years ago

This thing is beautiful. Kruzman is the one of the few guys that can make PFs looks 10x better than brand new. I'd feel bad rolling a steel ball over that PF. I'd just want to hang it up and admire it at that point.

I know but when it goes in a game it will never leave my collection and will get years of care.

#45 9 years ago

That's gorgeous, man, enjoy it! "Congratulations" seems kind of weird to say in this case, but fuck yeah... congratulations!

I just sent my first PF off to Ron last week, fingers crossed that it can crack into his top 5.

#46 9 years ago

Wanted to post on this all day yesterday but i held off since Ron is a very good friend of mine and i know the work he puts out.

This thread was derailed quickly, i was only expecting to see congrats to the happy owner of this beautiful pf. I can say that because i seen this particular one in person.

It is very hard to judge a pf by pics. Bad pf's can be made to look good, and perfect pf's made to look bad. Bottom line you really don't know shit unless you have seen his work in person. Others do some good work as well but take any of those and stand it next to a Kruzman pf, you will then have a much better understanding.

Someone had mentioned they hoped to get one of Rons best and based on what i have seen the difference between Rons best and worst is nothing anyone would be able to see, its just Ron. He only deals with perfection and sends out nothing less. I am occasionally at his house when he spots a little spec he doesnt like and proceeds to sand the pf back down and start on it again. It pains me to see but that is his standard and he lives by it. If he has a delay with your pf maybe now you know why.

#47 9 years ago

Ohh and congrats Mmr that is one hell of a nice pf, i even took my wife over to see it as we are big fans of the game.
