Quoted from epeabs:I just watched the movie tonight since this was fresh in my head. It isn't the Lord of the Rings series, but it was 1983. The pinball is probably better than the movie.
I couldn’t agree more, it actually is good theme Integration

My man! I have a lowrider too! V1 engineering! You in the forums over there too?

i watched Krull again about 3 months ago. For probably the 10th time in my life its a pretty solid movie considering majority of sci-fi movies in the early 80's are super cheesy and tough to watch now.
I was jamming on the Atari 2600 Krull game when i was 6
Quoted from transprtr4u:Love the prop rod
I've seen folks do something similar with HH and BH.
Quoted from nicoga3000:I know this isn't the point of this thread...
But do any Loch Ness pins exist???
Yes
P1010082 (resized).JPGYou sir are one seriously talented individual! To be able to bring this lost game back into the world is truly admirable and amazing.
This is awesome!
Really hope to play one of these one day. Loved the movie growing up.
Well done to you and your team on this project.

One does, but my opinion is krull is a better game by far. The video game krull is mediocre but the pin deserves many to be made. Before this there were under ten krull pins in existence, I believe.

Arcade game is good - beautiful art package. The difficulty ramps up too quick is my big qualm.
I had a friend who had a Krull and sold it for like 26k almost 8yrs ago. Curious what the price tag is on one these days.

I got a feeling the price on the originals will be dropping soon if there is any indication that a remake is in the works. It happens with everything from playfields, to backlgasses to the games themselves, I've had it happen to me so many times when I've paid up for original because years ago there was no such thing as a reproduction anything. Most people don't care if they have an original or not, if it's cheaper they will buy it.

There’s been no word on this particular machine, I’m guessing a passion project , there’s clearly doner machines , not really all new parts

What parts look like they came from doner machines?

Drop target mechs and coil brackets. I could be wrong of course.
Everything about this build is just jaw dropping. Hoping the OP chimes in at some point to detail the long process. I have so many questions.
IDK what's more impressive..... the pristine cleanly-tied wiring, cutting & fitting 3 different levels of playfields to perfect specs, or the amazing reproduction of all the artwork & the backglass.
If you ever care you share the full story, I'm sure there are many who would love to hear the details. Very inspiring work!

Many people forget there was an outstanding Gottlieb Krull arcade game as well.
Quoted from yancy:Drop target mechs and coil brackets. I could be wrong of course.
I bet the lockdown bars will be not all new as well.
Who cares? This is an amazing project!
Gottlieb and David Thiel created some of the best sounding games on the planet! Anyone getting a PF pin will be happy.
Thank you everyone for the incredible words.
I will bring the story soon, I’m ironing out a few details.
Would really like to see remakes for sale someday, or a ‘kit’ of parts would be even better, but not very optimistic about these things.
Quoted from Topher5000:I'm really impressed with how neat the wiring is. Attention to detail!
I agree! Where do I send my deposit money to get on the preorder list? I don’t care how long I have to wait even if it’s several years.

More details please.
The Pimp designed and cut the cabinet stencils to repaint the artwork on these! Glad I got to be a part of the builds. These machines are so freaking cool!

Look like a really great project but more infos would be amazing

Also just an quick answer to a PM would be fine.

The Pimp is the only option, only the best!
Been watching this for a while.
Holy shit! You do amazing work!
Take my money now! Krull is soooooo cool and nostalgic.
Just phenomenal.
All I can say is this game was a blast to play. The bottom playfield is nuts. What a beautiful game.

This. Still hoping the OP chimes back in with the backstory on the this beautiful build.

Glad you got to try it out. It’s wild.
Quoted from zaki:Anyone play the arcade game of krull? It very good
WAY back in the day... I don't remember a ton about it though...
Quoted from zaki:Anyone play the arcade game of krull? It very good
It is a regular at CAX show.
Fun to play.
Quoted from TomDK:Yes, very strange. No answer on PM, no more info here ....
