These are displayed at $50 "clearance" up in the front of Lowes where the Christmas gifts are, but ring up at $34.99

90 tooth gives a finer ratcheting action compared to the normal 72 tooth.

    "Hassle Free Lifetime Warranty"

Metric 6,8,10,12,13,14,15,16,17,18 (11mm is 7/16" and 19mm is 3/4" in the SAE half of the set)

    SAE 1/4, 5/16, 11/32 ,3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16 , 3/4"

Videos online make the packaging look impossible to open, but..... on the back of the package, punch the two pins marked "cut" out through the front of the packaging, then slide the wrench holders up and out of the keyways.

At $1.75 per wrench, this is a ripping deal.

I remember when Gearwrench first came out with these. They seemed like a gimmick, but once you use them, you can't live without them

They fit in the tightest of spots

Pinballers are only going to use a few sizes from the SAE rack, but you can use the metric ones to change your auto battery or assemble your BBQ

Just like a normal ratchet, use a regular wrench to break stuck bolts, then flip to the ratchet side for speedy removal.

Don't kill these by putting cheater pipe on the ratcheting side, use a socket and a breaker bar for seriously frozen bolts.

Nice, I see one store near my might have some, gonna hit them up after work. Hope they don't all disappear.
As always, great looking out Vid, thanks!

Thanks for the heads up - picked up a set.

Success!!! Although it came with a bunch of obstacles. Local store on brick seek showed 19. Got to store and checked all usual spots, nothing. Ask sales rep and they said 21 in stock, aisle 23. Dead end as that was lawn and garden. Went back to sales rep, now saying aisle 63 (tools). Rechecked, nothing. 3 other reps joined in, checked all above rack storage nothing and they called off the search. Shopped the store for other items for 20 minutes and just about left and the guy comes running, found them!! They were down aisle 14 (paint) in a random Kobalt cardboard bin, all 21. $34.98. Thanks Vid!

    ^ classic Lowes adventures...

I’m going to go on Lowe’s adventure tomorrow.

Bit of advise, print or take a picture of the sale info and take with you.
I drove 30 minutes of my lunch hour to a lowes that showed 10 on hand, after 20 minutes searching, finally found them only to have them ring up at 49.95.
I did NOT have any documentation of the sale, thus will try again tomorrow. Provided that store still has some.
    Good luck!

Seems to vary store to store. I picked up a set of these in Austin and the shelf stated the $35 price, but the nut drivers Vid posted in a different thread yesterday were $15, though the other stores in Austin had them for $10.

What a Charlie Foxtrot, I took my screen shot printout with me today, counter associate (same lady as yesterday) could not adjust price, she asked for manager.
First manager quickly said, nope, sorry we cannot honor that price. I (very nicely, no really) stated we needed to try again with someone more senior.
He paged the MOD, who after about 5 minutes of trying to locate the items on his store smartphone ap, he reluctantly advised the counter checker to give me the 34.98 price.
Gave up two lunch hours, several gallons of premium gas, but hey, I got that price!

I may or may not have picked up TWO sets, one for my 2021 Pinside secret Santee.

None of my local lowes shows them in stock via brickseek. Guess it may be worth a trip any how.

    #14 10 days ago

Though they have a lifetime warranty I’d read the reviews on this set first. Light duty and ratcheting mechanism often breaks or hangs up under normal use.

    #15 10 days ago

This deal must be location specific. From my phone, I do not see the $35 price. I see $50. From my work LAN, I do see $35, but it is based in a different state than my location.

If you cant get the Kobalt set, then the next best deal would be this GearWrench SAE set

Broken Gearwrench can be exchanged at many more locations (HD, Advanced Auto, TSC, Sears, lowes, ACE...)

These are also reversible, so you don't have to flip them to back off a bolt

Usually $60 they are on closeout at Advanced Auto Supply for $32

I couldn’t find them at my Lowe’s but was able to get the Craftsman nut driver set.

    #19 9 days ago

Picked up a few other things as well. I really like the dewalt bag deal. 12v drill is super nice for pinball swaps! Snap of blade knives for 1.98

There was a full rack at Lowes on 436 by the airport...They have the display not marked on sale, so it says $89, but rings up $34
Picked up today. Only store in town due to error.

A little late to the game, but at the second Lowes, and after a search in 3 different locations in the store, found them in a display at $34.98. Brought a copy of the price from the Lowes website, but didn't need it. Bought two sets. There were still 4 or 5 available.

    Thanks vid1900

Went to the Lowes here in Michigan and it rung up at $49.98?

    Quoted from crlush:

$49.99 was the clearance price (orig $89)

But look on Brickseek and see if you can find the SUPER clearance $35 at a nearby store.

Even if they say $89 on the sign, they will ring up @ $35 if that's what it says on BS

    https://brickseek.com/lowes-inventory-checker/?sku=1000224979

Clinton and Stirling Heights stores say $35 near you

Yea I saw your link for Brickseek and will stop tomorrow on my way home from work, I asked at the Lowes I was at but they said they dont price match other stores when they clearance items. By the way Vid glad to see you back!

All gone local to me. Tried a Raleigh store that said 10 in stock on the lowesforpros site. The employees couldn't find them anywhere when I asked after I failed to locate them. They did get me a set of the SAE nut drivers for 10 bucks though so that was nice.

Spent the night trying to extract the wrenches from their plastic prison. Now if I could just figure out how to remove that stupid yellow "try me" bolt from the one wrench...

    #28 5 days ago

Ended up geting a set from a store in Harper Woods on the way home from work, they had atleast 10 sets left. Thanks again Vid!

    #29 5 days ago

Picked up a set in NJ today. Thanks Vid!

    #30 5 days ago

Grabbed a set the other day for 34.99, great deal. Thx Vid.

Did you ever figure it out Boob? I admit, I’m stumped.

Edit: Squeeze one end of the threads with a pair of pliers and it pops like a zit.

Thank you. I have practice with that from my teen years.

I'll try it tomorrow...I never did figure it out.
