That rubber piece is to small for the center post. It's only about 3/4". The center post is 1 1/4" or thereabouts.

Sometimes used as gates/mini-posts. Examples are Williams Super Star and Jive Time.

Ok they would use the up-post mech assm with that rubber one as a lane gate.

Yeah, looks like the mech is the same, minus the lamp.
