I don't care which machine sells more.... the money isn't coming to my pockets!

#98 8 years ago

Another KISS pinball thread.... I wonder if it's just rumours.... I will not spend my energy on it until it's official!

BTW... Jersey Jack will announce the IRON MAIDEN pinball machine next year!!!!!

Quoted from vid1900:

Metallica has sucked hard ever since Justice, yet I'd buy the game in an instant.

Could not agree more!

#109 8 years ago
Quoted from trilogybeer:

Yeah that would be funny . What if they made all the images of the band on the game from the time they went without makeup and costumes that would be funny also , maybe that could be the LE version.

Asylum LE external artwork!

KISS used to be AWESOME. Their music was (and still is) GREAT. PERIOD.

And I love METALLICA, AC/DC and IRON MAIDEN as well!

Quoted from o-din:

I think I get it now. Sometime back in my 30s I remember having a whole bunch of nostalgia for the past. Posters on the walls again, 70s music. I mean it had to be better than what was going on in the 90s right? After a while though that went away and I decided to live in the present instead. And still do.

Good for you, maybe you'll buy a Justin Bieber pin machine when it's out!

#143 8 years ago

Maybe FF would outsell KISS!

Quoted from Duff:

A Judas Priest pin would never be a joke.. It would be a must have.

As long as there's no TURBO songs!

Quoted from Hazoff:

Exactly, well said.
Except for these.
Iron Maiden
Black sabbath
Priest (painkiller multiball) wow
and ofcourse the best band based pinball that could ever be made SLAYER

Quoted from Methos:

I think Turbo is a great album. The tour was fantastic, best I ever saw them despite Rob's additions. Out in the Cold and the title track are clear stand outs. I love all their material except the albums with Ripper on them, but I go back to Turbo more often than I should. Sin After Sin, British Steel, Painkiller, it's all Priest. Hell - I even like Ram It Down.

Dude, the Ripper albums are KILLER! Give them another chance! Pure Heavy f*** Metal!

Quoted from renodakota:

It's amazing how greatly divided we all are over our pinball and our metal.
New or old we will still talk sh*t for hours on the interweb like someone cares.
So to carry that tradition on,
Kerry King, All of Kiss (mostly Gene and or the late and great Bill Okoin) and Bruce Dickison are all huge dicks.
It's not the band you love it's the business you choose to support.
Old road dogs who need money and "sold out".
I don't blame them at all.
Ac/dc blows as a band but the code is great.
A good lay out and code could "slay" it for Kiss.

Don't care.... dicks or not their music is GREAT!

And Dave Grohl (and that's just an example), may be a great guy, but his music sucks!

Anyway, doesn't matter.... and I'd never buy a FF or a Nirvana pin....

Quoted from vid1900:

All "big thinkers" have had lots of failures.
Thomas Edison's monstrous Ore Mine failure stole decades from his life.
Albert Einstein wasted the last 30 years of his life on his unifying theory.
Nikola Tesla's Wardenclyffe Tower was pretty much his undoing.
Bob Dylan going electric.

Man, vid1900 was posting nice pictures and then you came and messed it all up..... no good....

Quoted from Aurich:

You have to say this about Kiss: I know they do the rock and roll all night song, and ... that's the only one I can name. I know nothing about them as a band, don't care who's a jerk, who left, who's under the makeup.
And yet, I still know who they are, what they look like, and have some vague understanding of their mystique. That's the power of a good brand. Maybe they're a better brand than a band, I dunno.

If their music sucked, nobody would ever give a f*** about them.... R'n'Rallnite was a big hit, regardless of what they looked like onstage.... yes, the makeup was a huge differential, and it surely helped ALOT their immense success.... but it would be nothing if their songwriting wasn't good!

Quoted from zr11990:

And all the band members will be dead before he gets it out

I tried, but i did not quite get what you want to state by writing it....

#252 8 years ago

Really can't understand all that fuss.... Why can't I love them both?

Quoted from rotordave:

Wow. Don't want to be mean, but you couldn't be more wrong if you tried.
I grew up with AC/DC. Played heaps of their songs in my cover bands. The reason we played them is they are 1/ very catchy and popular 2/ so easy to play we could play them while we were drunk.
Almost every AC/DC song is built around a very simple Angus riff or a simple 3-4 chord pattern played by Malcolm. And Angus' solos are the same pentatonic scales he's been playing for 30 years.
There's more musical ability on display in the KISS song "Creatures of the Night" than in a whole AC/DC album. Possibly the whole AC/DC catalogue.
People who say KISS can't play their instruments are simply wrong. Gene is a very good bass player, and Paul is a very good rythym player. Shame he's losing his voice now, but he was one of rocks best frontmen for 30 years plus. KISS have had a stellar bunch of guitar players from Ace Frehley to Vinnie Vincent to Bruce Kulick (who is very underrated)
My 10c.
rd.

Dude, I totally agree with you but let me correct you on 1 little thing: Paul Stanley surely is a hell of a songwriter but he was never good on his guitar playing.... on their shows, he is "helped" all along by a hidden keyboard player who dubs his guitar, since the 2000's.....

Quoted from wayout440:

Really? Angus is ranked by Rolling Stone magazine as the 24th greatest guitarist of all time, Gibsons made several Angus Young guitar models. In most top 10, 100, 200 lists I have yet to see Ace Frehley or Vinnie Vincent's name. Now obviously I won't win any argument on a KISS thread, but I've been a guitar player for over 30 years and I know what I like, and when I go to any live shows it's to hear guitarists play and not to watch a bunch of clowns spitting blood and fire.

1104.jpg (Click image to enlarge)

You see, though I'm not a professional musician, I know some basic guitar playing AND I'm also a huge fan of both bands. Let's face it.... Angus is really not that great guitar player!

Again, I really can't understand that "my favorite band is better than your favorite band" s*** you guys are going through.... Some can never compare MUSIC in terms of taste, style, anything.... It will always be like apples and oranges!

If you don't like it.... forget it, let go!!!!!

Let's get back to PINBALL here, please!

MEGADETH will outsell METALLICA!!!

#273 8 years ago
Quoted from wayout440:

I've also been playing for over thirty years, and I can play Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen and more while drunk. Doesn't change the fact that they are great guitarists, now, does it?

You're a comedian. He's nowhere in the bass guitar world.
