I sold my KISS pro about 6 months ago, but the buyer didn't want the topper. I ended up selling the topper a few weeks ago, and the buyer of the topper is asking about the Y adapter and USB cable.

Did all KISS toppers use a USB cable in addition to the power cable? I don't think I ever had one, and it always worked fine.

I wasn't aware there was a Y adapter at the board for the topper, so I'm pretty sure I accidentally left that in the machine. If I had a USB cable connected to the topper, I would have had to remove the cover plate to unplug it, and I know I didn't do that.

I'm pretty sure I can get the Y adapter for the buyer through Stern, but I'm just curious about the USB cable and its purpose.

But I never had one, and it worked fine with all the animated patterns. So what is it needed to do?

I removed the topper a few months ago when I sold the game. I would have had to remove the cover plate and unplug the USB from the topper end, correct? You're right...I don't remember doing that. Weird. Not sure why I wouldn't have left it plugged in and kept with the topper.
