Just wondering if anyone has any info on why my KISS pinball would have a lot of static (like a TV channel with no station) upon first starting which resolves after the machine is on for a few minutes.

These sound boards have ground problems. Try this.... Back off the sound board from the mounting posts in the backbox, loosen the screws. If the static changes or goes away, you have ground issues. The amplifier circuit has a seperate ground (marked sol. return on PCB) than the logic side (GND).
