Your list is a good start, I would pull Shock Me, Strutter, She, and Parasite off (love all of them BTW) and would add Heaven's on Fire, Crazy Crazy Nights, Say Yeah, and Unholy.

Personal favorites that I would love to see included would be Creatures of the Night, Tears are Falling, Got to Choose, Take Me, I was Made for Loving You, Journey of 1,000 Years, but those all all long shots.

Not a chance in hell would be Is That You, and I.

Although now that I think about it, for the European market, they may include I was Made for Loving You and Shandi.

    Quoted from vdojaq:

And...most of these songs will be re-records with the current line-up that were made just a couple of years back.
There will be NO Ace Frehley or Peter Criss songs, so no Beth, Shock Me, or Cold Gin(Ace written song)

Why do you say that? They have been doing Beth and Shock Me live for years. New York Grove is an Ace solo song and that would not be selected as I don't think they have done it live without him. And I don't know why they would not include the original recordings, the re-recordings were for Sonic Boom - and they are fun to listen to.

I will be seeing the band live for the 19th time in August at Alpine Valley - could be the last time. Say what you will about their music, I have never seen them mail it in - they give it their all.

Now Ace live - that's a different story.

I love the song, but there is about as much chance as Charisma being included as their will be of a Vinnie Vincent LE version.

    Quoted from rotordave:

Ace got drunk (which isn't unusual) and sold the rights to KISS years ago.
Ace doesn't even recall doing it. He can't recall a lot of things ... Which is quite sad.
If anyone has time, the Paul Stanley autobiography which came out a month ago is very good reading.
    rd.

    I have read Gene's and Ace's. I won't even bother reading Peter's book.

Even after hearing Paul and Gene bitch about Ace for the last 20 years, I always liked the guy. Then I read his book, and I realized that they were right and he was a total waste of space. So much potential just wasted.

    Quoted from usandthem:

Peter's book was great. If you read the others and don't read his, you're missing out. People who don't dig his drumming are just bandwagon jumpers in my opinion. They hear things like his drumming sucks, and then they're convinced that it does. It doesn't. He was highly influenced by Jazz drummer Gene Krupa. Is he Gene Krupa incarnate? No. But listen to the subtle fills in say 100,000 years and tell me he sucks. (You didn't say he sucks, by the way. I'm only going off the deep end because that's the usual line.) I guess I was assuming that you felt that way because you said that you wouldn't read his book.

The Kiss of today is not going to sell the pinball machine. It's the Kiss of yesteryear that people are interested. I know it, you know it, everybody knows it. Eric and Tommy may wear the makeup, but you can tell who's face is behind it. Nobody wants to see that. Well, almost nobody. Put it this way. Not too many Kiss fans want to see that. That's for sure. The best songs were done from '74-'78 and that was with Ace, Peter, Paul, and Gene. Even their best post original record, Revenge, has Bruce Kulick on guitar.

I agree that Peter's style in the begining fit the band really well. Trouble is the narcotics took effect early on, and by Rock and Roll Over, he was literally just taking up space. Plus he seems to blame everybody for this problems. And, I never liked any of his writing. Take away Beth (which was co-written) and he doesn't have much. Hooligan, Hard Times, etc. I may have to grab Peter's book at some point.

As far as Tommy and Eric, KISS fans have been used to other members in the band since 82 once Vinnie and Eric Carr came in - and they did just fine making great albums like Creatures of the Night, Lick it Up, Animalize, Asylum (my personal favorite), and Revenge. We're used to it, and Ace and Peter chose to left, twice. I wish Bruce was still in the band instead of Tommy - but I can live with it.

    Quoted from williams:

As much as I'd like to see a deep cut off of Dynasty, it's probably not going to happen IMO.
After 15+ years in the hobby, this is likely to be my first, and probably only, NIB purchase.

We'll probably get I Was Made for Loving You, as that track has been in their rotation since the Revenge tour, and the song is much more popular than it was the 80's.

    Quoted from spfxted:

I heard they were only using the soundtrack to The Elder....

    I wish....

    My favorite era was 79-82.
