I need help! I’m in the middle of repairing my 1979 Bally Kiss machine. I’ve replaced all boards and repinned 2 connectors on the mpu and one connector on the power rectifier board. Before repinning those connectors it would boot up with no sound and all the lights on the back glass except for the kiss logo would not light. The scorecards would light. I could do a systems test and get the game to start and the flippers would work. No bumpers would work at all. The score would run up on its own!

Now since I repinned the connectors the game boots up and chimes then plays the tune, but now I can’t get the game to accept coins or get a game to start!!!

Any suggestions where I should look next?

    Thanks in advance!

Did you replace all the pin connectors?

You need to repin the SDB, too.

Did you put the ball back in it? Some games won’t add credits or start a game if a ball isn’t present.

What voltages are you getting at the test points?

I have to agree. Repin all the mpu connectors. They cause havoc on your game after 40 years. If that game had acid damage, that's what's contributing to it.
