Speculation is fun - the spike system got rid of the transformer. So the amount of wiring to run to the old location would cost more stern saved $$.
Speculation is fun - UL says you need x y z efficiency and can only have a wire so far from the power source as you loose efficiency every foot of the way. The loss is small but they are like all things great ideas, but goooooo toooooo faaaar…
