Would you take a Kiss LE or a Mint AFM ? Forget about price difference

Take the mint AFM now, play it for a year then get the Kiss LE when the code is done.
Kiss is a decent game, not a great one.
AfM can lay legitimate claim to best game ever.
Hey it's your money.
Quoted from jamieflowers:I would wait for AFM R to see what that does to the market or if they are improving the game in any way.
Bad advice. AFM is perfect as is and the goal of a Remake isn't to "improve" the game. The ColorDMD for AFM rocks...

Yeah, cause who wants to own and play the best game ever made, right now, when they can pay more for it and own it in 4 years complete with unforeseen issues and combative, surly customer service?
Makes sense.

Ouch...
I own Kiss PRO and love it, but I'm not a big fan of the LE/Premium - not enough extra's to warrant the extra cash IMO.
That being said - AFM is an all time top 20 game, and likely always will be.
Look at it this way...
If you had each game, and put each up for sale, you'd sell 30 AFM's for each Kiss you sold.
I don't vote in polls.
But when I do...wait, I don't.
Still, it would be pretty hard to vote for KISS. Not to say it's a bad game, but it's a very average offering from Stern that clearly will sell to the KISStards based upon it's theme and that was the plan all along. The whole thing is very paint by numbers and not sure even great code will make this one more interesting.
That being said I'm off to go play the new code for an hour or so.
I'm not an AFM fan, but even I'd vote AFM. Kiss kinda blows....but if you're gonna get a kiss, save a few bucks and just get a Pro (and I almost never say "get a Pro"). On the LE, Dancing Paul barely moves, the backboard magnet is pointless, and while the drop target is a nice addition, that shot is so tight it's still satisfying without it. I normally like multicolored GI, but the blue looks pretty out of place on Kiss.
Quoted from Pinballocks:I'm a KISS Army member. AFM.
If Gene gets wind of this your membership will be rescinded.
Well...at least your dues will go up.
Quoted from Rarehero:and I almost never say "get a Pro"
Sometimes it's OK to get a pro

After speaking with Rick at Planetary I would just wait to see what they have up their sleeve. If nothing else the game will have an impact on the market value, once that happens you can make an informed decision. I am most likely not in on AFMR just because in my fairly small lineup it is too similar to MMR. But no matter what you think the updated graphics on the MMR display (if it ever is released) is superior to colordmd even though I think the color DMD product is awesome.
