We've been hearing that Ritchie is extremely out of rotation, (two Borg and two JT games since Star Trek if true), so this matches up.

Most likely reasons? A theme Ritchie wanted and more development time for the LCD that replaces the DMD. The potential of the SPIKETM system is slowly rolling out over multiple games.

    You heard it here first.

    Bravo!

    Quoted from RobT:

I find it hard to believe that Ritchie will not be the designer of the next pin that Stern announces. It's been too long. So if KISS is next, it makes more sense that he'd be on that wouldn't it?

You don't know Ritchie at all.

    He HATES KISS.

    Quoted from vid1900:

You guys are all pretty silly.
There are a million great themes for pinball, but I'm not buying a game just because it says Game of Thrones on it.
I'll wait for the game to come out, wait until the code is reasonably complete, and then, IF the game is fun, I'll buy it.
Getting excited about a theme, is like getting excited about a new StarWars movie - you probably will be disappointed.

I really think Lucas was replaced by a evil doppelganger. Now that the doppelganger is gone....I have high hopes for Episode VII.

    Quoted from ahdelarge:

The same time as The Walking Dead last year? End of October?

Summer. Stern is on a 3 game cycle again...like 2012.

Ritchie's game should be out late in the year, after KISS.

    Quoted from jawjaw:

Isn't Stern just building Whoa Nellie like MMr? There is Whizbang Pinball stamped on the machine, not Stern.

Stern is stamped on it too.

It is a joint venture. With MMr, they are just assembling.

    LOL!

    Quoted from Rarehero:

It's not a pinball machine's job to tell the complete story of a multi-season TV show ...its job is to represent the theme the best it can in a short burst of gameplay.
Sopranos - Become the mob boss
Walking Dead - Kill zombies, stay alive!
    24 - Stop the terrorists
    CSI - Collect the evidence
Simpsons/Family Guy - Use the characters and comedy snippets from the existing seasons to make a funny pinball experience
There has been plenty of material & key moments in GoT to make a compelling pinball machine. A complete story wouldn't change what you can do in a pinball machine.

    +1
