I’m sure if this were in a court room, it would get dismissed as hearsay... but what if I were to tell you that a person with close personal ties to a certain place in Chicago wrote this: “KISS is the next pin that will be announced later this Spring (designed by Borg). Then Game of Thrones from Steve will follow late in the year. Take that to the bank”.

Hmmmmm.... I better start saving money now just in case.

A rumor but its pretty much what has been going around for a while now.

When was Wrestlemania rumored? That was a shock for most pinheads. It could be anything but my hopes are high for Ghostbusters and Guardians of the Galaxy. Guardians maybe a year out but I hope it's not as disappointing as TWD is to me.

Pretty quick turnaround for Borg after TWD if true.

One person who said the above as well and is usually dead on made the WWF call.

yep, if true not much dev time on Kiss

I don't know...SR latest games have been winners to others but not too much for me, but I like the theme of GoT, which I didn't the previous 3 (at that time). I'm almost kind of interested in it to be honest.

As for "You" hearing it "from someone" doesn't mean a damn thing. I don;t know whom the hell either of you are, and people guess games on hear wrong at aboot a 95% clip.

    Borg's always been fast.
    Next up: Insane Clown Posse.
    Juggalos Rejoice!

What if they were to just re-theme Metallica? Fun game and layout, but just make it with KISS graphics. Kind of like the Family Guy/Shrek. Would people freak out in disappointment? At least with just a cosmetic change, they could put it out quick and you know the KISS fans would gobble it up.

Me too. Was really hoping for jints avatar to come true but my hopes are diminishing... Maiden would get my NIB money.

Me three......Not saying it wouldn't sell well, but personally have no interest in seeing a KISS come out.

    #14 4 years ago

Sounds reasonable, but I am actually really interested on the next VE announcement from Stern to be honest.

    #15 4 years ago

Looks Like this might be the year to stock up on some vids or get a Skeeball with my game room budget.
These themes do nothing for me. Game play could be great but for me theme has a lot to do with the game.

    #16 4 years ago

Very solid rumor - nothing is certain but it's a pretty good bet!

it's true you never know. I'm a Metallika hater and own the machine

    Would love GOT!

Before the unveiling of the disappointing Smaug on TH, I WOULD have preferred JJp to do that title.... Now.... Meh.... Guess it doesn't matter....

    #20 4 years ago

WNBJM is going to be made this year also?

I saw no talk about Wrestlemania prior to its announcement..

KISS would continue the music theme

Game of Thrones would make sense if TWD did well...

    #21 4 years ago

GoT, end of the year? Perfect...time to buy n save!

    #22 4 years ago

I wish Stern would announce games in advance and allow us to hype it for 10 months (GoT).

    #23 4 years ago

    Oh. This again.

    #24 4 years ago

But when I woke up, Mom and Dad
    Are rolling on the couch
    Rolling numbers, rock and rollin'
    Got my KISS records out

Sure would be nice to be able to plan and save up loot for it, this way! I would pass on both of these if true and go for JJP Pat Lawlor game

    #26 4 years ago

We've been hearing that Ritchie is extremely out of rotation, (two Borg and two JT games since Star Trek if true), so this matches up.

Most likely reasons? A theme Ritchie wanted and more development time for the LCD that replaces the DMD. The potential of the SPIKETM system is slowly rolling out over multiple games.

    You heard it here first.

They just finished a wrestling pin. I'm sure to keep up with these amazing themes the next pin will be a soap opera pin followed by vanilla ice or something like that.

    #28 4 years ago

    Here we go again !

    27
    #29 4 years ago

    Rather have a Maiden pin

    #30 4 years ago

Hope this is true cuz I have zero interest in them. No temptation to buy just enjoy my hobbit all year.

    Quoted from stretch2:

If someone overheard Gary talking about a great Mexican place he ate at, Pinside would find out that the next stern game would be Taco Bell: The Great Colonic Adventure.

    Which year?

    #33 4 years ago

I'd believe KISS because they took it from Jpop a long time ago. Although I don't for the life of me know anybody in real life who actually likes them. But if they can put some crazy light shows in it, could be good. LCD on the backglass with concert clips and pyrotechnics booming with modern speakers...

Dunno if that would overcome the fact that nobody under 40 is interested.

    #34 4 years ago

    Bravo!

Funny thing is I would go the other way. I'd be much more likely to buy a KISS the less tech is involved. As their music/images are pushed on me increases, the want to play it goes down.

    #36 4 years ago

I find it hard to believe that Ritchie will not be the designer of the next pin that Stern announces. It's been too long. So if KISS is next, it makes more sense that he'd be on that wouldn't it?

    #37 4 years ago

Poll needs a don't care option.
If the rumors are true this is great news for me as I have no interest in either of these titles, especially kiss.

    #38 4 years ago
    Quoted from dantebean:

It was definitely rumored here prior to being announced.

It's been a long time since Stern released a pin that there was zero rumor about.

You don't know Ritchie at all.

    He HATES KISS.

Then you would hate them live. The only reason they are popular is the spectacle.

I would prefer Ritchie on KISS and Borg on GoT actually. I love Metallica and TFTC and will probably have a GoT if he designs it. Borg seems to fit the GoT theme better too, with the gates, monsters and castle toys that must be involved.

    #43 4 years ago

ICP???? they might sell 3 of those pins since most fans cant afford it

    #44 4 years ago

I had zero interest in AC/DC when it came out, then, I owned two of them, and would buy it again......

    Would a re-theme using Metallica and AC-DC

Also work for KISS>. Playfield . layout. etc

Seems everyone likes something about each one.

Using the best of both pins. ??

    Oh I already know that

    #48 4 years ago

I won't even touch a Kiss pinball machine. GoT though may be a purchase.

    #49 4 years ago

theme doesn't matter. Everyone here has seen that is doesn't matter what the theme is. It's how it's designed and how well the rules work with that design. That's all that matters. Dream theme or not, if the game sucks...it sucks. Could have the worst theme on the planet, but if it's really fun, it's going to get some love.

    #50 4 years ago

I'll take the King, Lyman and Game of Thrones. Need all three!
