Quoted from TheCnyPinGuy:

wonder if it will cost about the same as the Bally version

Actually it will be a little cheaper.

$1800 in 1978 is worth $6,480 in 2015 dollars.

Quoted from fattdirk:

I can't remember the last time I heard a kiss song.

You should take your wife to the strip bar more often:

Quoted from PinballManiac40:

Ghostbusters is up next.

Quoted from ralphwiggum:

I would actually purchase this sight unseen

You might want to look close before you buy.

The new Ghostbusters cast:

Quoted from Pahuffman:

I mean how is Stern going to progress the game with a title like KISS?

Tongue ramp.

That's what is so great about KISS.

Most people hate them.

That leaves only the drifters and homosexuals.

Rock on bitches!

Greatest Strutter cover evah:

#59 4 years ago
Quoted from kporter946286:

Kiss's recording quality is garbage.

That is what makes them cool.

Each instrument has it's own little space in the mix that sounds great when cranked up and turgid.

#61 4 years ago
Quoted from kporter946286:

but they remind me of Marilyn Manson with less talent.

Marlyn Manson was more of a Bowie wantabe. If you were around when Bowie was the shit, you would know that.

Manson's whole "I'm as comfortable sucking a dick as I am licking a pussy...." is definitely not a KISS vibe.

#62 4 years ago
Quoted from kporter946286:

30 somethings like myself now have disposable income and we don't want KISS.

No one on Pinside cares if you like a band or not, LOL.

#64 4 years ago
Quoted from zr11990:

A Kiss pin will suck. I guarantee that it pill be a photoshopped collage of the latest PR photos that will look like crap. They may as well rehash TRS which is one of Sterns biggest turds.

That's what everyone said about AC/DC, yet it turned out to be one of the greatest pins of all time - photoshop collages and all......

#72 4 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Not the slam dunk some seem to think it is. MOST Kiss kollectors love to buy kiss garbage, but it's all cheap crap. There's a big difference between some $20 KISS dolls or a pack of Kiss Kondoms and a $6000 pinball machine

So all the different KISS Kaskets @ $5000 or the $4500 Kisstory book are cheap?

Quoted from kporter946286:

I would love for a VID's guide to why KISS rocks so that I could learn from the master as to why I should like KISS.

You still don't get it.

Slow down, think..... don't just start typing your "witty" reply.

------

Not everyone likes the same bands.

And that's a totally good thing.

If we all had to like the most popular band then the only music pin we would have would be ABBA or something.

Most people don't like KISS.

You are just like most people, nothing wrong with that.

In a KISS thread, no one wants to hear your crying like Sad Sally about how KISS sucks.

If you like a band that you think would be good as a pin, start a thread about that band.

Try to do something positive.

For my own entertainment, the best KISS songs of all time:

Black Diamond

Rocking song sung by Peter Criss (how many bands can boast that every member sings lead?).

Righteously covered by The Replacements, too.

#94 4 years ago

Calling Dr Love:

Strip bar classic to this day.

The old mixture of medicine and sex, long before the Black Crows or Bon Jovi

#95 4 years ago

Strutter:

Tasty bass line drives the song forward.

#97 4 years ago

Shock Me:

Ace on the vocals.

Black leather and electricity, the ultimate S&M adventure.

#98 4 years ago

God of Thunder:

This song made sure your parents knew that KISS were indeed Knights In Satan's Service.

(actual song starts 4 minutes in).

#99 4 years ago

Goin' Blind:

A song about a 93 year old man and a 16 year old girl.

Was actually called "Little Lady" in Gene and Pauls previous band Wicked Lester.

Good covers by the Melvins and Dinosaur Jr.

#101 4 years ago

I Want You:

You can bang along to this while driving and not be the least bit embarrassed.

#108 4 years ago

Cold Gin:

When it's too late to wake up the girl next door for a booty call.

#112 4 years ago

100,000 Years:

#115 4 years ago
Quoted from Methos:

Nice list Vid, but you gotta start getting in the 80's materials. Lots of gems there.
Tears are Falling
Crazy Crazy Nights
Who Wants to be Lonely
I Love it Loud
Exciter
Thrills in the Night (one of my all time favorites)
Hide your Heart (they did this one live a few years ago)
Unholy
etc....

Sorry about that.

By the time the 80s came around I was listening to Misfits, Negative Approach, DRI, 7 Seconds, FEAR, Toy Dolls, DOA.....Kiss just did not have enough adrenaline to keep up with my surging loins.

#118 4 years ago
Quoted from zr11990:

Really, can we cut the kings in Satans service shit.

The priest told me it was "Knights in Satan's Service". Kings, wow, now that would be quite a crusade.

#120 4 years ago

Domino:

A 90s strip bar classic. Even the Black strip bars still play it to this day.

#125 4 years ago

Plaster Caster:

A song about Cynthia "Plaster Caster" casting all the band's erect penises in plaster.

I've got to be honest, I can't even picture today's bands like Nickelback having Penises.....

#127 4 years ago
Quoted from zr11990:

You know I was just goofing right?

So was I.

The priest actually said "Kiss is the Devil"

#131 4 years ago

Ladies Room:

Jabbing your woman with one leg up on the tampon dispenser, never sounded so appealing.

Back before AIDS and Herpes ruined everything, this was how it was done.

#134 4 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

They didn't sell ANY of those stupid kaskets - the only one I've ever heard of actually changing hands was donated to Dimebag's family so they could bury him in it.

I know at least 2 idiots who own them.

One guy uses it as a cooler at his yearly Halloween party.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I also doubt they sold many of those lame books.

I know they sold one.

#136 4 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I wonder if your idiot friends would have shelled out the cabbage for those if it weren't the original 4.

Hell no.

No KISS fans like those crusty scabs.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

What does the OTHER guy do with it? Is he actually planning on being buried in that thing?!

Last I saw, it was just filled with clothes in his bedroom.

#143 4 years ago
Quoted from chet218:

I think it would be more feasible to see either a "The Who"

There are 2 Who pins already

Do we want to reward the registered pedo sex offender with another game?

#146 4 years ago
Quoted from Jakenjoi:

Actually an 80's themed pin would be just awesome.

punk_bg.jpg
#172 4 years ago

Obviously each of the 14,000 existing fans buys 50 copies of each new album to make sure KISS continues to go platinum.

It's a friggin' scam, I tell you!

#175 4 years ago

That first KISS game made me so much $$$$ it was insane.

Some locations, I deployed a bunch of them side by side and everybody lined up to feed them.

If most games had a 3 month payback, KISS was like a 3 week payback.

#177 4 years ago

When was KISS ever popular?

#188 4 years ago
Quoted from zr11990:

Rock is dead.

All pop music has it's run.

Big Band. Swing. Bebop. 50's Rock n Roll. Acid Rock. Hard Rock. Punk Rock. Hair Metal. Gangsta Rap. NuMetal

Sure there are revival bands that pop up from time to time (Fish, Black Crowes, The Darkness, Sha Na Na, Royal Crown Review), but after a while, it's simply used up.

#190 4 years ago
Quoted from zr11990:

Country is still around.

What about Western?

#199 4 years ago
Quoted from zr11990:

Im more than willing to listen to any new rock bands that you recommend.

Quoted from pinkid:

I think the Bally KISS machine is fine.

Yep, nothing wrong with it at all.

There is a bar by my hotel that has one. It can be brutal after a few drinks.

This one?

That's where I met my boyfriend.

#222 4 years ago

Another good "new" band is Ghost BC, if you like makup on your musicians:

#264 4 years ago

All those moldy old bands are re-recording their hits so they actually get paid for the sale of their music.

Def Lepard, Ozzy, ELO, Jefferson Starship, KISS, have all made brand new greatest hit albums. Carefully re-creating the songs so that THEY own the recording, not the old record companies.
--------

Def Leppard Re-Recording Hit Songs to ‘Wrestle Back Career’ From Record Label:

=================================

“Until we can come to some kind of humane conclusion to this ridiculous stand-off, we’re going to say, ‘F— you,’” Elliott tells Classic Rock in the most recent print edition.

“We want to get the same rate for digital as we do when we sell CDs, and they’re trying to give us a rate that doesn’t even come close,” the front man adds (quotes via Blabbermouth). “They illegally put up our songs for a while, paying us the rate they chose without even negotiating with us, so we had our lawyer take them down.”

Without offering specifics, Elliott hints Def Leppard will release more re-recordings in the future. He calls the new singles “forgeries,” but says that is the only choice the band has right now.

“Between us and Bon Jovi, we f—— built that company,” Elliott adds. “We built their penthouse sushi bar, wherever it may be, and they just treated us like s—. We can either roll over like little dandelions or we can stand up and punch them in the bollocks. And that’s exactly what we’re doing.”

Shine this laser pointer at KISS.

It's not 2mW, it's 2W !!!

http://www.wickedlasers.com/arctic

#281 4 years ago

Burning stuff with the 2w laser pen.

#283 4 years ago

No one ever knows.

Gary always says it takes at least a year to develop a new title, so it seems too soon for KISS.

#286 4 years ago
Quoted from goodgameslover:

Anyone has een idea when the next pin will be announced? I thought i heard may for the reveal. Any truth in this?

Quoted from vid1900:

No one ever knows.

#289 4 years ago

My distributor usually knows about 3 days before the general announcement, but he has never mentioned any exact timing structure.
